YEMEN READY TO STRIKE WITH TERRORIST FORCES WHENEVER THEY ARE NEEDED
December 30 2009
Sana'a, Yemen – For as long as humanity has gathered as a species, the Middle East has been a focal point for conflict and triumph. The first cities in the world were founded in that area, so too were the basic concepts of the alphabet, astronomy, and

mathematics. Major religions such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam were all founded in the region. The Crusades were fought there and one of the major fronts of World War I was also waged in the region. In the modern age, the region has been the home to oil, one of the most sought after natural resources ever discovered.
Some countries have had more success than others of course. Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, these are all countries that people throughout the world know whether they have been primed in Middle Eastern politics or not. Even neighbouring countries such as Iran, Turkey, and Egypt have a great deal of prominence and emirates such as
Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Dubai have of late
come into the public’s consciousness. There are other countries in the region though which have largely been ignored through all the fuss in the area but now at least one, Yemen, is stepping forward and taking their destiny into their own hands proclaiming a 300 man strong terrorist army ready to strike for the highest bidder.
“Of course there are a number of al-Qaeda operatives in Yemen and some of their leaders. We realise this danger. They may actually plan attacks like the one we have just had in Detroit. There are maybe hundreds of them — 200, 300,”said Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi. “Yemen has one of the largest collection of terrorist in the world, a population that has been largely ignored in favour of activities in countries such as Iraq, Lebanon, and far away in Afghanistan but it is here that the best and the brightest of soldiers await an opportunity to fight and be heard and we call on all responsible governments to take a look at what we have to offer.”
The declaration comes just days after the failed bombing attempt of a Detroit-bound plane by a Yemen-trained Nigerian-born terrorist. That incident was seen as a terrifying occurrence by most in the west, but the Yemeni government is undaunted by the fear shown by other nations.
“We understand that there were some technical glitches in that particular incident but he came very close to accomplishing his task, closer than anyone has come in recent years. That shows how good the training procedures really are. The next time we will have the technical issues worked out and we will show the world what we can do,” continued al-Qirbi. “We have shown that we have some of the most skilled and energetic in this field and we want to show the rest of the world exactly what Yemen can do and what the rest cannot.”
Yemen reportedly only began their training programs in 2006 with hopes of incurring a major attack, something experts predict as being very unlikely with Barack Obama as President.
“It’s really smart for them to put their people up for hire. This bombing attempt, albeit an unsuccessful one as far as explosiveness goes, was really a bold and brilliant move which will allow them to position themselves as a major player in the training market at least,” said Scrape TV Terrorism analyst Doug Davids. “I’m sure they saw the writing on the wall when Obama rededicated his forces to Afghanistan. Yemen is like many other countries in the region. They could use a prolonged war and then an eventual foreign-financed rebuilding but that just isn’t likely to happen anymore. The U.S. Forces are stretched as is and odds are they won’t want to go into another country. This move gives them the best shot at bringing in foreign interest and dollars and could make the country a player in the region for the first time.”
Yemen’s oil and natural gas reserves are expected to dry up in the next few years leaving terrorist production as one of the few bright spots for the economy.
