FUTURISTIC RUSSIAN JET NOT REALLY FROM THE FUTURE
February 5 2010
Moscow, Russia – During the height of the Cold War there were many battles between the United States and Russia. Whether it was nuclear sabre rattling, Cuba, cultural influence, or the race to space there was virtually no venue in which the two

major powers did not fight. One area that delved into the realm of both military conflict and national pride was the air force which for decades saw escalation after escalation, eventually resulting in some of the most powerful and dangerous aircraft the world has ever seen.
Chief amongst those weapons were the now famous Russian MiG - 31 and the U.S. F-16, two planes which patrolled the skies of the world and ultimately decided whether or not the Cold War would become a hot one. Two decades after that end of that conflict the power of flying weapons of power has diminished somewhat when it comes to international conflicts, but not when it comes to issues of national pride. Enter into the fray the Sukhoi T-50 which Russian military experts have been touting as ‘futuristic’. Though international experts admit that the fifth-generation craft is indeed very sophisticated and ahead of the field, there is no reason to believe that it is actually from the future and that the machine was very likely manufactured by people of our time and age.
“This is an epic event, because it's the first time in post-Soviet history that the Russian military industry has been able to create something brand new. Everything we

produced after the USSR's collapse was based on Soviet designs; nobody thought we could make anything so technologically complicated as this. But now, strange as it may seem, this shows Russia's level is very high,” said military expert Alexander Khramchikhin. “Many in the armed forces would have you believe that this vehicle was in fact from the future and the Russian military has achieved and perfected time travel but from what I have seen of the plane it appears to be made from current technology. It is a great achievement but it was accomplished by men and women of our age, not of people from the distant future.”
Einstein speculated that time travel was indeed possible and many films and books have used the concept as plot points, but as yet it has not been accomplished.
“It would be very interesting to see what the Russians, especially under an old school Oligarch like Putin, would do with time travel. I’m sure if nothing else the Cold War will have turned out differently, or will turn out differently, or however that would work. I’m sure they wouldn’t use it to just snag a really cool plane anyways,” said Scrape TV Military analyst Michael Kent. “There was a time when achieving time travel for its own sake would have been worth doing, where it would have tilted the balance of the air almost immediately even if it wasn’t used but now that we are past the end the only way to change things would be to go back and do it.”
Both U.S. and Soviet scientists spent time working on time travel though neither, at least to our knowledge, neither were able to accomplish the feat. It’s also unlikely that we would know about its existence due to the nature of time travel.
“The question would really be whether or not our past is as we remember it. If people truly are time travelling and change the flow of history then we wouldn’t know one
way or the other. We would wake up the next day with a totally different set of memories and think they were right so they could in theory manipulate us forever. Of course their pasts would be changed as well so they might not know that they should go back and change things or that time travel has even been invented, something changing the past might irrevocably alter,” continued Kent. “Even time travel into the future would be sketchy because we need to invent things in order to invent new things so if we are just stealing from the future, then those things never would have been developed. If they weren’t developed we couldn’t have taken them so we would have to invent, but then we could go into the future. Oh I don’t know, it’s really confusing. It’s a cool plane.”
Kremlin officials are still officially calling the plane futuristic.
