AFTER ROUGH START TO THE YEAR, WAVE OF BOMBINGS KILL DOZENS IN IRAQ

April 24 2010

Baghdad, Iraq – The world has watched the last few years of life in Iraq with justified horror. Bombings, war, poverty, and all measures of the worst that humanity can bring to bear have all been inflicted on that nation. Conflict of course is nothing new injured iraqi boy
for the nation, which itself was born out the ashes of the First World War and 500 years of imperial rule, but the ongoing trauma in the area known as the Cradle of Civilization has many wondering if the nation and people will ever see peace.

With U.S. troops now pulling out the country and internal police forces doing a much better job of quelling the violence in the country much of the problems have started to abate with fewer and fewer incidents. While many have applauded that change and the ongoing efforts in the country, there are those on the other side of the conflict which have seen a massive erosion of their support base and economic stability. However insurgents across the country aren’t taking the ongoing attacks on their business lying down as evidenced by a series of co-ordinated attacks across the country yesterday left at least 69 dead and dozens more wounded, marking the deadliest day in months and the best news the insurgent industry has seen in a long time.iraq bombing

“This has been the worst start we have seen in years. There have been killings across the country and more than a few bombings but none has really had the kind of impact that they once had. This attack, I wish we could take credit for it, is the best thing we have seen in months and could mark the beginning of our return,” said a spokesperson for the Al-Maliki fighters brigade. “Bombings have been down but so has recruitment and revenue and that has really put the pressure on the industry as a whole, something we hope these attacks will help to turn around.”

Insurgent groups do not traditionally report specific numbers, but it is believed that they have lost ‘a lot’.

“There has always been this real danger to this industry that they have either chosen to ignore or have been unable to do anything about. The biggest concern from iraq bombing
observers is that many of these organizations are essentially one trick ponies, something that more sophisticated criminal organizations like the Mafia have been able to avoid. Consequently when the market dries up, they are left with nothing to fall back on and fall into this kind of disrepair,” said Scrape TV Business analyst Ken Green. “Frankly everyone saw this coming. They made a concerted effort to disrupt the training of domestic law enforcement and keep the embattled Americans in country but that was doomed to failure. The U.S. simply has more resources and was eventually going to be able to push through their reforms. What the industry should have done was spent their time diversifying rather than fighting.”

Unlike the Taliban, drug resources are limited in Iraq leaving many promoting businesses like human trafficking and prostitution as a fresh resource, something that has fallen on deaf ears in the country.iraq military bombing

“The big problem with this industry is that they are built on this idea of moral and social superiority. That is how they gain recruits and earn significant dollars but that is also what has hindered their growth. It’s a tough challenge and they have uniformly rejected any efforts to change, which has put them in this spot,” continued Green. “These bombings might, and I stress might, give them a temporary boost but until they change the way they do business and stop catering to the fanboys they will not be able to have real and sustained success, which ultimately will kill the entire industry in the country.”
