GREEK OFFICIALS CONSIDER LETTING GERMANY TAKE OVER AS DEBT CRISIS WORSENS
April 30 2010
Berlin, Germany – There are a few places in the world that can rightfully claim to major centres for human culture. China, Saudi Arabia, and Germany are probably at the top of those lists. Those three countries have been the lynchpins for spreading
culture and influence throughout their particular regions, which have then spread further and further outwards. Even today all three of those nations hold an incredible influence not only over their territory but also over the world, boasting some of the largest economies and most influential cultures today.
Germany is perhaps chief amongst those. Dominating European politics and economics for centuries, responsible for the colonization of England and by extension the United States and every other act that empire committed. Today Germany boasts one of the largest economies in the world, powered by a revamped industrial sector and traditional German pride, the nation once again finds its influence in world at one of the highest states since the Second World War. Of course the world was a different place back then with massive economic instability, radical nations posing as serious threats to world peace, and rogue dictators sabre-rattling at every opportunity whereas today we have things like

the internet. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, realizing her nation’s influence, has come out swinging in the face of the massive debt burden incurred by Greece, insinuating that they now need to take care a problem they didn’t deal with a decade ago.
“In 2000 we had a situation when we were confronted with the question of whether Greece should be able to join the eurozone. It turned out that the decision [in favour] may not have been scrutinised closely enough,” said Merkel in response to the massive bailout now being levied for EU partner. “I think the handling of the Greece case shows that everyone knows we cannot allow the same situation with countries as with Lehman Brothers. We agreed today that the exit from state support measures -- so-called exit strategies -- must be coordinated as much as possible. We must give them breathing room during this time.”
Merkel has been under increasing fire at home because Germany is seen not only as the leader of the Euro, but is the largest contributor to bailout which will reach well over €100 billion.
“This is without a doubt the greatest crisis the Euro has faced and it will not be the last so how the council deals with the situation will determine how the next debt issue is resolved. We will be seeing such problems in Portugal and likely Spain in the very near future,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “The people of Germany are understandably very angry at this situation. For all intents and purposes the Euro revolves around the fates and decisions of Germany. It is very much built on the backs of the workers of that country and so it makes sense that when instability occurs, and bailouts begin, that people who earned that money will get angry. Germans are not the people to anger.”
Of course the last time the people of Germany got very angry, millions of people died.
“I would not be surprised at all to see more aggressive tactics by everyone involved.

There has been a lot of talk about pushing Greece off the Euro entirely so that they don’t drag down the currency rating any further than they already have, however that would only be a temporary solution, a band aid to a much larger problem and something that could not be maintained,” continued Hander. “They simply cannot afford to keep pushing out problematic economies because that too will erode the value of the currency and once again split the continent. The best solution, frankly, is to follow the German example. They were devastated after the war but have now rebuilt to one of the largest economies. They know what they are doing so perhaps Greece should just allow them to take over and sort this thing out.”
Merkel herself has reportedly always been fond of the Acropolis and has stated many times how she would like to add it to her collection.
