INDIA ABOUT TO SINK INTO THE EARTH’S CORE

September 26 2010

New Delhi, India – Of all the nations on Earth there are few with the history, intrigue, and ability to continue to grab the imagination of people that way India does. Near dead centre in Asia, the second most populous nation on the planet has long taj mahal
been one of intrigue for travellers and conquerors. Her place in history is also unlike any other, from the conquests of Alexander the Great to financing the British Empire, India has been one of the most important cultural, military, and financial flashpoints in our very short history.

Even today the country remains as important as ever. With the second highest population on the planet and an economy that is growing daily, India is poised to be one of the most important nations for the foreseeable future. As a nuclear power and an ongoing rival with fellow nuclear nation Pakistan, India has become once again one of the most important strategic nations in the world, particularly as their influence continues to grow. Unfortunately here is one danger facing the country that even a nation as great as India will likely not be able to conquer, sinking into the Earth’s core, something geologists believe could happen at any moment.

“The India tectonic plate is slamming into the Eurasia plate and has been for about 50 tectonic plates
million years, but the mystery is why the mountain range is still growing. Normally when two continents collide a bunch of mangled crust forms in the middle and the two plates stop, kind of like a car accident, but that it not what is happening here,” said Fabio Capitanio of Monash University in Australia. “As it turns out, India appears to be sinking into the mantle. This study shows through computer models that the formation and continued growth of the Himalayas is a result of the Indian subcontinent essentially folding underneath the opposing plate. What this means is that eventually the entire subcontinent will be pushed down ever further until it ceases to be.”

Because of the slow nature of tectonic drift it’s expected that the elimination of India will take several thousands of years, perhaps hundreds of thousands or more, but that length of time hasn’t put any minds at ease.

“Tectonic shifting is a completely natural process. Earthquakes as an example, like the people in india
one that just occurred in Haiti, are a result of shifting plates, two different plates rubbing against each other essentially. Tectonic shifts are the reason mountain ranges exist as well. They are a natural and inevitable part of the way the world works,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “That won’t reassure the billion and half people living in India I’m sure, whose very lives are now in jeopardy. India has a great future ahead of it but sinking into the Earth’s mantle, or even down further into the core of the planet will undoubtedly put a damper on the growth and prosperity.”

Indian officials have tried to assure people that the threat of total annihilation is a long way off, and that it has nothing to do with aggression from Pakistan, with limited success.rth core

“India has such a long and regal history and it will be a shame when all that is destroyed but it is inevitable. It’s very unlikely that at any time in the future we will be able to stop tectonic shifting and so the fate of the nation is written, but there is time to enjoy what they have,” continued Poe. “People should not start panicking and abandoning their families. This isn’t the apocalypse, yet, though it is coming and people need to be aware but not alarmed.”

Pakistani officials are reportedly very excited about the possibilities raised by the tectonic shifting.
