CHINA THE CHIEF SUSPECT AFTER HONG KONG ACTIVIST DIES FROM LONG CANCER BATTLE

January 3 2010

Hong Kong, SAR – The fight for freedom is nothing new in human history. Ever since we started to create societies and build nations there have been oppressed people, people who have for one reason or another been subjugated by the leadership. gandhi
Occasionally from those groups a hero emerges, a brave voice that speaks up for the beat upon and leads a rebellion to redemption and empowerment. Often, in the short term, those rebellions fail, but it is in their spirit that the poor and downtrodden continue to fight.

People like William Wallace, Spartacus, Ghandi, and Jesus Christ are just a few of the many through history who have stood up for themselves and their followers and in the process have become symbols of the spirit of rebellion which has inspired many around the world. Though such acts of heroism are rare in today’s world, and owing in part to relative wealth of the planet, the spirit persists and in those areas where true oppression continues, the fight goes on and new heroes are born. There is perhaps no better example of that than the ongoing battles in China. Long a symbol of civil and human rights, the battle against the Chinese government has been bitter, angry, and bloody, as evidenced by the recent death of Szeto Wah, a long time political opponent of the Chinese government by cancer which many are blaming on the Chinese leadership.szeto wah hong kong

“Passionate about China and Hong Kong, Mr Szeto Wah was devoted in promoting democracy. Upright, industrious and unwavering in the pursuit of his ideals, Mr Szeto earned great respect from across the community,” said a Hong Kong official, “Our thoughts are with his family and friends but we cannot ignore the very dire consequences of this event and the actions they suggest. Mr. Szeto long suspected that outside forces were to blame for his illness and now that that illness has claimed him, we have to ask new questions.”

Szeto was an outspoken critic of China and was an active participant in the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989.

“It is unlikely that Szeto will be mentioned alongside many of those great revolutionary tiananmen square
leaders but his battle, the battle in which he participated, is one of the great battles of our era. It is certainly not as dire or as pitched as many of the epic tales of the past but is at the forefront of the ongoing struggle by the masses against the massive,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “China though is a very clever beast. They recognize the public opinion of their government and they recognize the attitude many people have towards those who would seek to change their behaviour and have been far more diplomatic and ultimately far more successful in quelling these rebellions by being so quiet and so cautious, which it appears they have done here.”

Szeto was 79 and had been suffering from lung cancer.china communist

“For most of our history government have dealt with these types of rebellions violently and everyone of those empires has collapsed. While some of those empires collapsed directly as a result of the rebellion, others died much more slowly, having their status slowly chipped away by decades of insurrection. Obviously China has taken a less violent stance, but the rebellion persists,” continued Hander. “This likely extermination of Szeto is just like them. It makes sense to let people think that he died of natural causes because if he had wasted away in a Chinese prison he would have been martyr. Now they are rid of him and they continue to look good which is all they are looking to do.”

Szeto also had bad knees but it is not clear if the Chinese government was also responsible for that.
