GADDAFI STILL ENJOYING NATIONWIDE GOING AWAY PARTY

March 3 2011

Tripoli, Libya – Few would argue that serving one’s nation is about as noble a life as one can live. Whether serving in the military, politics, or in public service there is a great deal of respect owed to anyone who works for the betterment of their colone gaddafi
community, whether they chose that profession for their own gain or for some other reason. Unlike working in private fields, the dedication to the greater community, the greater nation, is something that has long garnered respect.

There is perhaps no better example of such dedication to the nation than working in politics. Often there is a great deal of cynicism in regards to the motivations of politicians, but the simple reality is that the vast majority of politicians could easily make even more money working in the private sector than working in the public. That alone, that monetary trade-off, is not the sacrifice that deserves respect but rather the will and desire to do something that benefits society and garners respect. There is of course no higher position and no greater example of the kind of dedication than in being the leader of the nation, something Muammar Gaddafi has been doing for more than forty years. Now, with his long dedication to his nation coming to an end and parties sprouting up all over the country, Gaddafi is apparently enjoying the celebrations and for the first time taking something from the nation to which he has given so much.gaddafi happy

“These are momentous times to be sure and we are all thriller and excited at the energy and passion of the Libyan people. These are great tributes to a great leader and the most exciting way to leave these many years of service to the nation,” said a spokesperson for the Libyan government. “We have these expressions throughout the country with rifles firing in the air and fireworks displays. We must particularly thank the people in the eastern part of the country who have been so energetic in their displays of affection.”

The spokesperson also admonished people for occasionally reckless behaviour which has caused a handful of injuries.

“Gaddafi has of course been one of the more controversial leaders in the world over gaddafi pleased
the last forty years, there is little doubt of that, even though things have changed fairly dramatically in the last few years. Still, despite the controversy that he has created there is no doubt that he has dedicated most of his life to the country,” said Scrape TV African analyst Claude Contee. “Unfortunately much of this celebratory spirit has been marred by ugly incidents, a few thousand deaths and of course the negative reaction from the rest of the world. One can’t help but think that at least part of that, the reaction from other world leaders, is at least partially a result of his rambunctious career. That they are taking this opportunity to get back at him in some ways but in the end all they are doing is ruining his party.”beyonce gaddafi

Recently the UN Security Council voted unanimously to sanction the country and freeze all foreign assets.

“There is certainly a lot of ugliness going on here and yes there have certainly been a handful of problems in Libya proper, but that ugliness has certainly extended to the wider world with many countries obviously not willing to let go of old grudges,” continued Contee. “In many ways that is the fate Gaddafi has constructed for himself and he has to pay the piper, but one would have hoped that people would have put pettiness aside at least for a little while and allow a man who has dedicated his life to public service to go out gracefully. Hopefully he still finds some enjoyment amidst all of this.”

Gaddafi plans to continue his goodbye tour for the next few months at least.
