MEXICAN TERRORISM JUST NOT TAKING OFF LIKE EVERYONE EXPECTED

February 27 2011

Mexico City, Mexico – With the newest bombing attempts aboard cargo planes destined for Chicago it has become very apparent that the threat of terrorism is not going anywhere anytime soon. Though no attacks even remotely matching the scale terrorists
of those on 9/11 have occurred, small and intermittent attacks and attempts have reminded the world that there are still people out there willing and wanting to do damage to others for their own personal or political gain.

Even before the events of 2001, much of that terrorism came from a few small select countries and even today that has remained the case. A result of geopolitical and geo economical factors, combined with growing religious zeal has resulted in the vast majority of terrorist plots emerging from the Middle East and other predominantly Muslim countries. While some would certainly suggest that that is a result of the religion itself, that there is something intrinsically violent about the religion, nations such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, and Bangladesh have seen no such activities despite having hundreds of millions of citizens. Still, terrorism does exist as a growth sector for a number of nations though some, whether as a result of culture or religion or some other intangible factor, have simply seen little or no traction in that area. Mexico is one of those countries.

“Obviously we have a great deal of violence in the country. These recent battles with mexican drug cartel
the drug cartels are just the newest battle that we have been waging but Mexico has been a violent nation for a very long time yet we have not seen the kind of radicalism that other nations seem to possess,” said Miguel Flores of the IAACN. “With the degree of violence that we have seen and the great disparity between the wealthy and the poor it would have seemed to me that this country would have been a prime area for terrorism. We have had some of these acts in our past but it has never been exported beyond our borders.”

Drug violence has been reaching a fever pitch over the last year or so resulting in the widespread dissolution of police forces across the country.kid terrorist

“Our people know how to organize and they have the kind of blood lust and ruthlessness that all terrorists seem to have yet nothing. At first glance my thought would be that the country is relatively wealthy, or that it is predominately Christian, but none of those factors seem to play a role in terrorism in any other country,” continued Flores. “There seems to be no real explanation for it. There is motivation, opportunity, and personnel to pull off the attacks yet the streets are quiet from this kind of behaviour. True, the drug cartels are butchering people left and right but that is solely business, there does not seem to be a grander plan or ambition there and that is what is truly sad.”

Mexico has never produced a single popular terrorist or terrorist action in the modern world.mexican wrestlers

“There is a great deal of history when it comes to insurgence in Mexico. The battles for land throughout the southern United States was rampant with these kinds of actions but that has more or less fallen away in recent years. There has been no follow-up to those actions and there does not seem to be any real motivation to try again,” said Scrape TV Terrorism analyst Doug Davids. “The only thing that makes any kind of sense is that there is something native to the Mexican spirit that doesn’t allow for this kind of activity. One would hope that it has something to do with the good will of the people, but I have a feeling it has more to do with Siesta. Terrorism is a 24 hour job and that would force the people of the country to lose something, something uniquely Mexican, and that would be a greater loss than any parcel of land.”

We attempted to contact other Mexican officials but they were resting.
