NEW PROBLEM IN LIBYA; GADDAFI MAY BE INDESTRUCTIBLE
May 16 2011
Tripoli, Libya – In movies and comic books the hero almost always wins. He faces the exaggerated villain, beats down their minions, and after a brief crisis defeats the villain in some glorious and redemptive way. It rarely works like that in real life of course,
heroes rarely exist and villains often get away relatively unscathed, living out their lives in relative peace and quiet before dying a natural death, free of parades and self-righteous victory speeches. Sometimes however, as evidenced by the killing of Osama bin Laden, it works exactly like it does in the movies.
Bin Laden’s death though is hardly a model that can be replicated with any ease, even when the villain is very much a comic book character, as is the case with Muammar Gaddafi. Aside from his personal eccentricities and his desire to sow chaos throughout the world, Gaddafi’s continued survival in the face of the turmoil in his country has pushed him to another level, making him exactly the person everyone thought he was all along. Now it appears that Colonel Gaddafi has pushed his super villain status to an entirely new level, retreating to his ultra secret base and proclaiming himself indestructible and issuing challenges to the rest of the world to come after him.
"I tell the cowardly crusader that I live in a place they cannot reach and where you cannot kill me. Even if you kill the body, you will not be able to kill the soul that lives in the hearts of millions. Gaddafi will live forever and no actions by these forces will be able to destroy him,” said the Libyan leader in a taped message. “These times
challenge us all but we must stand together, aligned against the forces seeking to destroy us, so that we may triumph over them. I will stand in body and spirit for as long as that fight is needed, unmolested and undestroyed.”
It is not believed that Gaddafi has any kind of underwater or airborne hideout, but intelligence officials have long suspected that he had been undergoing surgeries to extend his life and powers.
“I think it is very unlikely that Gaddafi has found any kind of fountain of youth but it is entirely possible that he has utilized genetic engineering to bolster his existing strengths or, much more likely, has created some kind of power suit or exoskeleton that would render him nearly indestructible,” said am intelligence insider. “The nature of that suit and what we could do to destroy him is something of a mystery right now, but it is apparent that he has no intention in going peacefully and that means that we will have to use every tool at our disposal to ensure that he taken care of. I’m very confident that we would be able to defeat any version of Gaddafi which presents itself.”
It’s believed likely that arrogance and conceit, derived in large part from his inhuman powers, would likely be his undoing.
“Often the biggest failing of these types of villains isn’t the disposition of their forces or any types of powers or hardware they may or may not possess, it is their ego. Their belief that they are never going to be destroyed leads them to make poor and often fatal decisions, and that above everything else is what we need to rely on when it comes to Gaddafi,” said Scrape TV International Conflict analyst Mario Martinez. “There is no doubt that he has the ego of those types of villains, now we just need to see if things play out the way we expect them to, provided of course that we can root him out of this super fortress he has built for himself.”
Some reports have indicated strange radiation signatures west of Tripoli.
