Without rampant fanboyism and incessant head-to-head comparisons, how would we ever ally ourselves with our chosen system and allow others to know exactly how little we thought of them and their choices?

Demands for everything that we could possibly think of and criticisms of what the systems are lacking. Sure the Wii doesn’t have DVD playback, but none of the systems make toast. In the future, we should be able to have everything we could possibly imagine.

Without an endless amount of lists from every other site and blog on the web, how will the big three know what to put in the next next generation? Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo read every single article published about them and the only way they are going to know what the fans want is if we tell them. Plus, we have to have something to take up space when there is no actual news.
