KIM KARDASHIAN REPORTEDLY CONSIDERED SUICIDE AFTER PSORIASIS DIAGNOSIS

Los Angeles, CA – It is a given that we all age and with age come new challenges and new impairments. As we get older, we gain better knowledge of how the world works and how to navigate through it. We learn humility and empathy, and learn to let go of 
the things that used to bother us so. Unfortunately, all that insight into ourselves and the larger human condition comes with a price, the toll age takes on our bodies.
It starts with strange aches and pains, stomach upset or regular headaches, but on a long enough line our health issues become more and more severe and potentially dangerous. Issues like heart disease, cancer, and arthritis become more and more common as our bodies start to break down around our more potent minds. It happens to everyone no matter their station in life and no matter how healthy they were in their youth. Eventually the human body just starts to break down and there is little that can be done to arrest the process. That is exactly what socialite Kim Kardashian is starting to learn the hard way after being diagnosed with psoriasis, a common but troublesome skin ailment. Now 30, Kardashian has undoubtedly been learning more about the wear and tear on her body, but it was the devastating diagnosis of that dread skin disease that nearly pushed her over the edge and, reportedly, had her contemplating suicide.
“I cannot have psoriasis. I’ve heard of it before, because my mom has always had it.
She didn’t have red flaky dots all over. My career is doing ad campaigns and swimsuit photo shoots,” Kardashian said on her TV show ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’. “People don’t understand the pressure on me to look perfect. When I gain a pound, it’s in the headlines. Imagine what the tabloids would do to me if they saw all these spots.”
Psoriasis is not curable and is believed to be genetic. Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, also has the condition and has been consoling her daughter.
“Kim is very upset, very upset. It has only gotten worse since the show. She thought, and all the people around her felt, that by airing the show she might be able to deal with the whole thing better but it hasn’t helped. She is very distressed and is not only considering cancelling her wedding but also she said she thought about killing herself,” said an insider. “She decided not to do that. Aside from upsetting her family, she knew that killing herself would cause all kinds of problems for her advertising partners and she didn’t want to do that. There is no suicide clause in her advertising contracts and everyone would have been stuck. She didn’t really want to do that. She is making
this sacrifice for them, but if she had her own way it’s possible she would have done something drastic. She feels she is lucky to have so much family, so many friends, and so many advertising partners helping her through these tough times.”
Kardashian is apparently seeking treatment at a world-class skin care clinic in Belgium.
“Psoriasis is one of the more common of skin ailments. It can be very distressing and embarrassing for most people, much like acne. There is a social stigma attached to marked skin and for people who live their lives in the public eye that can be especially problematic. That said, suicide is not very uncommon amongst psoriasis sufferers,” said Scrape TV Health analyst Rebecca Phelps. “Luckily there are ointments and special makeup which can diminish the effects of the disease. Suicide should be the absolute last resort when it comes to something like this. It will never go away but you can live with it. Hopefully Kardashian takes that positive route.”
Kardashian still plans on marrying August 20th.
