WORLD’S WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF GOING EXTINCT

Washington, D.C. – The two sexes of humanity have been a defining characteristic of our species for as long as we have been around. In the early days it was all about procreation, just as it is with so many other species of life on the planet, but as we evolved so too did the relationships between the sexes. Today, the differences and similarities between the two genders aren’t merely sexual, they have helped define our identity as human beings and changed the course of our history.
Now we are on the verge of a new course as declining birth rates, and possibly genetic changes, have doomed the female members of the species, making them extinct in a relatively short amount of time.
With time frames ranging from 500-3000 years at current birth rates, eventually women will simply cease to be in most countries on the planet, making for a lot of lonely men and the end of the human animal unless some major scientific breakthrough suddenly appears.
“The truth is women are simply not having enough girls to replace themselves. In some places, the replacement rate is a little over fifty percent, meaning that for every hundred women only fifty girls are born. Obviously that is not a good thing for the future,” said one researcher. “People need to replace themselves just to continue the population, never mind grow it. While overall birth rates are stable in many countries, the gap between male and female is widening and that is a major issue.”
It’s believed that Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the first country to run out of women, about 500 years from now. Brazil currently has the longest lifespan, upwards of 3000 years from now.
“These numbers are not strictly correlated, though. As one country starts to run out of women, the demand will pull women from other nations and reduce the numbers even further. It’s also likely that we will see young girls, even girls below breeding age, pulled into marriages for desperate men which will possibly reduce birth rates even further,” continued the researcher. “We simply need to start having more girls. If current trends continue, it will mean a disaster for the species. We will simply be wiped out in a little more than a millennium, unless of course men find a way to reproduce themselves but science is nowhere near such a thing happening.”
Such an occurrence was the plot of the 1994 Arnold Schwarzenegger-Danny DeVito comedy ‘Junior’. The film was not a hit, suggesting that many men are not interested in giving birth, or that the film was simply not up to standards of the duo’s previous effort ‘Twins’ which was a major success.
“If things continue this way things will have to change. Men will obviously have to switch sides and science will have to figure out a way to gestate human beings with artificial wombs. It’s possible that the latter advance could also create more girls as well, which of course would help save us,” continued the researcher. “In the short term though, the value of women will increase. That alone could cause serious social and economic issues throughout the world and possibly bring about the demise of the species even faster. Wars inevitably will be fought over women, and money will decide who wins the genetic race and who loses.”
