ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER STILL DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO VOTE

June 10 2010

Sacramento, CA – Arnold Schwarzenegger’s life has been one remarkable tale. His story of coming from rural beginnings in a foreign country to being the biggest body builder and biggest movie star in the world has been well documented but that arnold schwarzenegger
doesn’t make it any less a compelling tale. He added to that tale in 2003 when he became Governor of California and at 62 he likely has a few more chapters to add to the story that is his life, a life that has surely been lived.

Despite all that success however, Arnold is still human and thus if far from perfect. His time in charge of California has been less than a resounding success, though the financial troubles the state is facing are not wholly his making, and have taken away some of the impenetrability that Governator once enjoyed. Perhaps though such human failings and fragility will only add to his story though as he ages and as he stays in the spotlight, he will have to hope so as such incidents will become more common. Such a failing was readily apparent at the California State Primary on Tuesday when Schwarzenegger attempted to cast a vote for two candidates, something strictly prohibited in sophisticated democracies. Thus far it is not clear if the Governor was unaware of this fact or simply trying to take advantage of his position.arnold schwarzenegger voting

“The Governor did indeed mark two candidates for the senate. When the machine noticed this discrepancy we were immediately notified and we had a brief discussion with Mr. Schwarzenegger where we informed him that he would either have to recast his ballot or not have his vote count at all. He choose to recast,” said a unnamed precinct inspector. “No one in the state of California will be allowed to cast a vote for more than one candidate or be able to cast more than one vote. Mr. Schwarzenegger has done great things for our state but that does not give him the right or the ability to bypass the fundamentals of democracy. We now consider this a closed issue.”

Calls to the Governor’s office were not returned, though it’s believed the employees there do understand how to use the phone.

“Frankly there’s really no excuse for this kind of things. I mean maybe, maybe if he arnold schwarzenegger governor
were new to country he would have a bit of an excuse but he has been here for forty years. Add to that the fact that he is from Austria, a sophisticated democracy and you would think he would have a grasp of the fundamentals of the system which leaves only one option,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “It makes sense that he would want to help usher in a new regime in all levels of the government especially as he is on his way out but that doesn’t give him the excuse to compromise the fundamentals of the system that the entire country is based on. Perhaps you could do that in Austria, but not in the United States.”

Officially, Austria allows only one vote per person per position.the terminator

“Now things have been a little funky in Austria in the past, we are all very well aware of that fact, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to the present and certainly doesn’t translate to other countries. His desire to right the state of California is admirable, but compromising the principles of democracy is not the way to do it,” continued Kinsey. “One has to wonder how many times he’s been able to do this before. From a Governor who’s married to political royalty he has to have a higher standard and if he has been playing fast and loose with voting then he obviously doesn’t have that. One has to wonder about that 2003 election now.”

Schwarzenegger reportedly tried to get two meals at the local IHOP to equal levels of success.
