CHRISTINE O’DONNELL SUCCESS SHOWS AMERICA TURNING TOWARDS WITCHCRAFT

September 19 2010

Dover, DE – Every nation on the world has had its difficult time with religion. No matter the faith countries have thrived, modified, and died in the face of religious strife. While that is perfectly understandable in old nations, even the New World has salem witch trials
seen its share of religious problems, none more apparent than those in the biggest nation in the region, the United States. While the current conflict between Christians and Muslims grabs most of the headlines, the strife dates much further back to issues between Catholics and Protestants and, in a strange turn of fate, to Wicca, an issue starting to raise its ugly head again.

Though Wicca and witchcraft has endured persecution throughout the world, it is in the United States that such actions are most associated. The Salem Witch Trials are perhaps one of the most famous incidents of religious persecution in history, actions that effectively demonized the religion throughout the western world. However times change and with the recent nomination of Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell it appears those times have begun shifting in profound ways. Ostensibly of Christian belief, recent footage of O’Donnell shows a wiccan past, something that does not appear to be impacting her popularity, indicating that many Americans are more than willing to turn towards the once hated practice of witchcraft.christine odonnell

“I dabbled into witchcraft. I didn't join a coven, Let's get this straight. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not makin' this stuff up. I know what they told me they do. One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar and I didn't know it, and I mean there a little blood there and stuff like that,” O’Donnell stated on a 1999 episode of ‘Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher’. She also stated that later on they went to a movie and had a “little midnight picnic”. O’Donnell made headline last week when she beat favourite Mike Castle in the race for the Republican candidacy in the Delaware senate.

“There is little doubt that the Tea Party has made significant moves into the political realm in the United States over the last few years. What the long term effects of that move will ultimately be is up for debate, but with christine donnell senate
evangelists such as Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck it’s clear that the prominence of the party will continue to grow and that means a major change in the political and social landscape of the country,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “It’s clear that the American people are looking for a change, well at least a segment of the population, as they tend to do and with O’Donnell it appears that not only are they embracing conservatism but also magic and human sacrifice, which I guess with the way things have been going over the last few years makes sense, I mean what else do they have going for them?”

O’Donnell campaigned on a conservative platform advocating opposition to abortion, pornography, and gun regulation. She made no mention of blood sacrifices or riding on broom sticks.witch on broomstick

“Coming out in favour of something like witchcraft would normally have been the death knell in politics but the world has changed, well the United States has changed. Sense and logic really have little place in the modern American political system and so it makes perfect sense that it is turning towards sorcery,” continued Kinsey. “Blame Harry Potter or blame Sarah Palin, it’s clear that the environment is changing in the U.S. and for those who don’t embrace The Craft it’s going to be a difficult political journey.”

Satanist candidate Jerome Walker came a distant third in the Republican primary.
