GLOBAL WARMING PUTS AN END TO AL GORE’S MARRIAGE

Washington, D.C. - The recent battle over the issue of climate change has done many good things and many bad things for the battle to preserve the health of our world. The successes include a much higher profile and a great deal of respectability
for the issue that had previously been associated with hippies and nut cases. At the same time, the criticism as a result of that profile has clouded the real issues and concerns that are in one way or another affecting people all over the planet and giving leverage to those who would put an end to any kind of environmental activism.
At the forefront of both sides of that argument is of course Al Gore who won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work to further the profile of environmental responsibility. With supporters and critics espousing passionate beliefs as to his veracity and integrity, Gore has become a much more controversial figure in his time out of public office than in his time as the second most powerful man in the world. All of that pressure, both positive and negative, has no doubt played a role in 
Gore’s personal life and now has apparently helped to put an end to his forty-year marriage from Tipper, who very much disliked Gore’s controversial assessment of the impact and causes of global warming.
“After a great deal of thought and discussion, we have decided to separate. This is very much a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together,” the Gores stated in an email to friends. A spokesperson for the couple later confirmed the separation but sceptics are already concerned that this may just be the latest in a long line of deceptions by the former Vice-President.
“I just don’t believe it to be honest. This is typical of Gore. He’s a showman, as a politician he’s got to be a showman at heart and that is exactly what he has done since leaving office. The whole global warming thing has been one big grandstanding which has convinced all kinds of people that he is some kind of messiah but the whole thing is a scam and we know it,
just like this,” said conservative blogger Mike Hawkins. “They both know how to put on a good show but that’s all it will be. The Gores don’t know anything but grandstanding and this whole thing will be more of the same thing as we have seen before.”
It’s believed that should the two divorce Tipper will receive up to half the internet, depending on the terms of any possible prenup. 
“The two have always seemed like opposites in many ways so it’s kind of a wonder that they have stayed together for as long as they have. Tipper was very active in censorship actions in the 1980’s including all those parental advisory stickers on albums and Gore, well he was a Democratic Vice-President. You don’t get much more liberal than that,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “It was inevitable in that light that something
would inevitably break. Sometimes opposites attract and do very well, which they appeared to have done for quite awhile, but eventually the pressure can break apart even the strongest of bonds. Unfortunately I think that as long as we have to struggle with all these environmental concerns we are going to see more and more of these kinds of breaks.”
It’s believed that if the couple divorces that Gore will be obliged to pay alimony in cash rather than in carbon credits.
