HEALTHCARE PLAN GAINS NEW STRENGTH AFTER JUSTIN BIEBER SHOWS SUPPORT

Washington, D.C. – There is no debating that the United States has never been a particularly peaceable nation. While it is certainly true that the type of bloodshed seen in countries like Russia, Germany, China, or Japan dwarf that which has happened in 
the U.S., for a country that is only couple of hundred years old and has no hostile neighbours, the U.S. sure has gotten into a lot of scuffles.
Occasionally those conflicts have been traditional wars, fighting sovereign nations for control of resources or some notion of grand social order, but unlike other nations the vast majority of conflicts in which the United States has been engaged have been on their own soil, against their own people. Since the founding of the nation the nation has fought one civil war, fought for and against slavery and segregation, fought immigration, and fought domestic threats whether real or perceived. Now though in the relatively enlightened 21st century the nation has found itself largely without an internal foe leaving only one battlefield, the political realm, in which to fight. Since the election of Barack Obama those battle lines have been drawn very clearly with both sides bringing heavy weapons to bear, choosing to fight in many theatres. Clearly though one battle has taken precedence over all others, the health care fight which has drawn passion, blood, and now new support from one of the biggest voices in the country, singer and actor Justin Bieber.
“You guys are evil. Canada's the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills,” Bieber told Rolling Stone. “My bodyguard's baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby's premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.”
Bieber originally hails from Canada, though now lives primarily in the United States. His bodyguard’s baby is apparently fine.
“This is long standing issue and a debate that can’t be swayed by a single voice, by a single opinion, but I have to admit that a number of people on our side of the bench are reconsidering the idea after hearing this. As much of a battle as it has become I think that the vast majority of people on both sides of the argument are still looking out for what is best for the people of the United States, we just have different opinions as to how to go about that,” said one Republican insider who preferred to remain anonymous. “Look, Justin Bieber can have his opinion and that does not need to affect U.S. policy. He is after all a foreigner. That said, his voice does carry a lot of weight in the U.S. congress and indeed all along the beltway. There isn’t a day when you walk around the Capitol building or in any official government building where Bieber doesn’t come up. I think his opinion will sway some opinions.”
House speaker John Boehner is apparently one of the biggest Bieber fans in the city, albeit it a hushed secret.
“Unfortunately, as tend to happen, this debate has become an almost exclusively political one and when that happens we tend to lose focus on the issues themselves. Hopefully, if nothing else, Bieber’s voice will help cut through some of that and get us discussing the issues again,” continued the insider. “The worst thing, well one of the worst things, would be losing out on what is best for the people of this country. The worst thing would be losing out on Justin, having him move back to Canada for medical treatment. That would be the absolute worst thing.”
Bieber also weighed in on the abortion issue, taking a firmly pro-life stance.
