MEG WHITMAN PROMISES TO BRING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO SACRAMENTO IF ELECTED

Sacramento, CA – It is a great irony in the United States that the issue of immigration has become such a volatile and angry topic in the political discourse of the country. While there are certainly valid concerns revolving around the issue of 
immigration, particularly of the illegal type, the reality of the United States is that it is a country of immigrants. Unlike countries such as Sweden, India, or Japan, everyone in the United States is from somewhere. There is no American race, no definitive cultural or ethnic identity.
Nonetheless, the issue of immigration has become a major topic throughout the country that politicians, no matter their political persuasion or personal opinions, must address particularly as the November elections loom. Now one of the biggest political players in a state directly embroiled in the immigration issue has come face-to-face with the issue and finding out the hard way just how rough politics can be. Republican candidate Meg Whitman has found herself locked in a new political battle after allegations that she knowingly employed an illegal immigrant for nine years, and treated the woman badly. Now Whitman, the billionaire former CEO of eBay, has gone on the offensive and promised to employ only illegal immigrants state wide in what as seen as a shrewd political and cost-cutting move in the financially desperate state.
“Meg is really disturbed by the whole thing. Sure, she knew that Diaz was an illegal but she didn’t want to do anything about it, I mean why would she? You don’t get to be a billionaire by spending a whole lot of money. She knew and now it’s become an issue, so the best thing is to turn it right back around,“ said a Republican insider. “This isn’t Arizona. People in Cali are a little more accepting of the idea of immigrant labour for all kinds of reasons. We are a far more liberal state and so it makes sense that she decided to take it head on.”
The state has been suffering from major budgetary cutbacks in the last few years, something that will likely be solved by the addition of cheap labour.
“This will play a role in the wider world for the party but we really want to keep hold of California. It is an immensely important state in the Electoral College and if we can gain a lot of support for a popular Governor then we may have a chance at taking it in 2012. I mean it has never worked before, but it could this time around,” continued the insider. “The illegals can’t vote, but their employers can and that could really turn the tide. Some people will certainly be angry about being turned out of their jobs in favour of immigrants but that is an old story, especially in California. Ultimately we believe the net gain will make it well worth the sacrifice of a handful of jobs and votes.”
Traditionally the state votes Republican domestically but Democrat in the federal election.
“It’s really a savvy political move, surprising really for someone so young on the scene. It’s really best to deal with these things head on, especially in a state like California where honesty is prided above all else. The political ramifications in the long term may be big, but we will have to wait and see,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “This does, however, give her a major player status that Jerry Brown simply doesn’t have. All of sudden you have a national player and that will go a long way towards securing votes for her, something most billionaires simply don’t enjoy when entering politics.”
Whitman has already secured a number of illegal immigrants to clean up after the post-election party.
