OBAMA ORDERS WORK ON SOLAR DEATH RAY

Washington, D.C. – While every nation has as its principal responsibility the service of its people, some countries have a greater burden, a responsibility to the wider world. There is no country where that is truer than in the United States. As the 
principal economic, military, and social force in the world The United States has a power and an influence over the rest of the planet that no country has ever had before, With that power of course comes a great deal of responsibility, something the U.S. at times comes at with a scattershot approach.
Not all of that is totally the fault of the government of the country. With so many forces pulling in so many directions the reality is that the country simply cannot bow to every demand and every need. Occasionally such apparent indifference is the result of bigger plans or diverse interests; nothing can be done about B because A will be compromised. The simple reality is that the U.S. cannot do everything for everyone no matter how big and powerful it is. However to think that the country is becoming an absentee landlord would be a mistake. The nation is constantly working on new ways to change the security and economic dynamic for the entire globe and now with word that President Obama has ordered work on a new solar death ray the world, both good and bad, can be assured that they are still very much in the game.
“The President has long had an interest in death rays, ever since he was a kid. At first it was the science fiction type of ray that could vaporize a person, but as he got older he started to read about attempts to create real death rays and became even more fascinated,” said a White House insider. “It was an episode of ‘Mythbusters’ that really jogged his memory and got him thinking about the theoretical death ray imagined by Archimedes and he decided that it might be a good idea to see about bringing it to life.”
Archimedes ‘death ray’ was a collection of mirrors aligned to focus the rays of the sun on an enemy fleet. The show ‘Mythbusters’ tested the device on two separate episodes.
“There is a reason that the President appeared on the show and proclaimed his 
affection for that device. It is being actively worked on in military labs across the country and not so secretly. He wants the people of the United States and the enemies of the country to understand that he is fighting for them and looking out for their best interests,” continued the insider. “Obviously the working version will be a little more modern and will use advanced techniques but the core principles are the same. Basically, it’s a giant solar powered beam that could destroy any incoming targets. Not the kind of thing to be used against suicide bombers, but a show of the might and power of the country to any people who would choose to challenge them.”
There is no firm evidence that the original death ray was ever utilized.
“A big part of the defence of any nation, or even domestic or personal situation, is the idea of a mouse trying to look like a lion. On the surface the U.S. is a lion but the constant challenges to her dominance are evidence that people are not respecting the country in the same way anymore. It’s not what is done, it’s the fact that the challenges exist at all that is the real issue,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “By showing the world this awesome power, this monstrous presence, they could very well scare a lot of people off and show the evil doers that they are not going to take things lying down. A giant death ray could be just the ticket for doing that. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Obama campaigning on the death ray issue come 2012.”
Obama has also apparently considered ‘Mythbusters’ co-host Adam Savage as a potential running mate for the next election.
