OBAMA SWAMPED WITH VACATION PLANS

Bar Harbor, Maine – For much of the world’s population the idea of vacation time is something completely foreign. Though they may witness tourists from other countries while they go about their daily business, they themselves are incapable of doing the
same thing. While those people undoubtedly have personal time, even something as brief as a lunch break, the idea of taking weeks off from work and travelling to a foreign land is, well foreign, and something that they will never be able to manage in their own lives. We in the west though live a little differently.
For many in the western world vacation time isn’t just seen as a privilege, it is a right, a basic human right. Many may still not be able to far flung locales for their time off, settling instead for a camping trip or a period vegetating in front of the television, but that time is still spent away from work, time spent living their lives rather than working. Across the economic spectrum vacations, even small ones, are an obligation, but sometimes even time off can be stressful. That is exactly what President Obama is discovering having taken time off from perhaps the most stressful job in the world. Vacationing with the family in Maine, the Obama’s have had a jam packed schedule that doesn’t appear to be letting up.
“They are only gone for three days but in that time they are fitting in all kind of activities. They’ve been travelling all over the area, climbing mountains, stopping for ice cream, going for family dinners, and even taking a boat ride. It’s a tight and well executed vacation,” said a presidential insider. “Unfortunately there have been hiccups, like when the clouds and fog disrupted the ice cream trip but all in all things have gone according to plan. Mr. Obama is as he usually is outwardly unruffled by the whole thing but he is secretly stressing the pace of the trip. There’s a whole lot going on in a very short time.”
The Obama’s will return to Washington on Sunday when they will settle in for dinner before getting back to their normal lives.
“I don’t think there are many jobs as stressful as being President of the United States. I mean there are things like bomb makers which probably have their stresses, but the level of responsibility really isn’t the same. It’s a good thing Obama has had this chance to get away with his family and just enjoy life, especially over the stress of the last few weeks,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “Of course the stresses of the job are still omnipresent in the vacation. A regular family would have taken a week to do what they are doing in three days but thus are the pressures of being at the top. Luckily they do have these little moments to allow the family to feel like a real family, even if they are a little squeezed.”
The Obama’s dog, Bo, also joined the family arriving on a separate jet.
“There’s also the added stress of being the First Family. They have the added burden of all these other people vacationing with them and running around stopping them from doing things. Most people can just play a vacation by ear, use just a general framework, but when you are President that changes,” continued Kinsey. “I can’t imagine the stress of that kind of vacation. It must almost feel as though you are working. Working with ice cream mind you, but still working. It’s a tough life for everyone.”
Bo has reportedly been having a great time.
