RUSH LIMBAUGH BATTLES MICHELLE OBAMA IN EFFORT TO BECOME NEW HEALTH FOOD GURU

February 23 2011

New York, NY – Diet, that is the food we eat not our efforts to lose weight, is one of the most important aspects of the human experience. There is no underestimating the impact of diet on the evolution and sustained success of our species, whether it is ribs
adapting to an omnivorous lifestyle, fats that increased brain capacity and muscle mass, or the development of agriculture around which cities and ultimately nations were built, food has been central to our experience on this planet and will continue to be so going forward.

Even today, with obesity rates at an all time high and serious concerns that supplies will start to dwindle in coming years, food is central to our experience and will shape the future of the species just as it has the past. Because of the global reach and impact that food will likely carry in the coming decades it makes sense food has become less of a personal issue and more of a political lightning rod, as evidenced by a recent controversy over a feast enjoyed by First Lady Michelle Obama and her children. While normally meals by families of politicians are normally not dire political
issues, Obama’s focus of proper diet regiments and healthy eating have come into question after she dined on ribs, raising the ire of the right and potentially unhinging her husband’s political power and hopes for re-election. michelle obama

“I’m sure you’re aware that nutritionist-at-large Michelle Obama is urging, demanding, advocating, requiring what everybody can and can’t eat. She is demanding that everybody basically eat cardboard and tofu. No calories, no fat, no nothing — gotta stop obesity. Except as in the case of all leftists, that’s true for you, but not for them,” Conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show. “Michelle My Belle, minus the husband, took the kids out to Vail on a ski vacation, and they were spotted eating and they were feasting on ribs, ribs that were 1,575 calories per serving with 141 grams of fat per serving. Haven’t seen any evidence here if that advice is being followed that it works, that’s all. It’s just, look it folks, leaders lead.”rush limbaugh speech

Obama has also come under fire from other commentators, similar to a controversy made over her husband’s choice of mustard just prior to his election.

“At its core the argument is that if a person doesn’t do what it is they tell other people to do then what kind of leader can they be? There is certainly validity to that argument but there has to be some latitude for indulgence,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “However, given the state of the nation and the fact that the vast majority of Americans simply would not be able to afford these fancy ribs, alongside the apparent contradictions in her eating them, it can be dangerous political territory and that is something the Obama’s need to be aware of.”rush limbaugh mugshot

It has long been accepted that Theodore Roosevelt’s attempt for a third term as President was undone by his own penchant for crab cakes.

“Food has become one of the potent political and social issues of the modern age whether we like it or not. Nations will rise and fall on their ability to deliver food to the masses and not on standard political issues such as war and more tangible resources, that is just simply fact,” continued Kinsey. “Like many things, the United States is on the forefront of that debate and of defining the ultimate direction of food in the future. People are looking to the United States for leadership in this realm and so it makes sense that it has become a potent domestic concern. I think the Obama’s will watch what they eat from now on.”

Limbaugh apparently went out for a salad and rice cakes after the broadcast.
