U.S. GOVERNMENT TURNING THE HOME SHOPPING NETWORK TO DRUM UP FUNDS

December 4 2010

St. Petersburg, FL – So much has been made in recent years about the ongoing economic crisis throughout the world and recent events in Europe and in the States have shown that those stories simply aren’t going away. Economic crises continue in financial crisis
many countries and unemployment rates throughout the U.S. continue to rise leaving many concerned that the economic system of the world may have turned a corner from which it will never return.

While there are many factors that contributed to the decline of the economic system and to its ongoing troubles, one thing is clear in virtually every country afflicted; nations are simply running out of money. Investor confidence remains low, hiring is at a standstill, and currency is in a persistent state of deflation. Doomsayers would have us believe that the ongoing problems are evidence of the failures of capitalism, that the system has been so deeply damaged and is so deeply flawed that this is, simply put, the end. Such scenarios are unlikely, but the simple and plain truth is that without more cash flow between the people, business, and the government, things will never get better. That reality has prompted a major shift in U.S. economic policy and now government officials are seeking to fuse all three problems into one solution by selling items through the Home Shopping Network, starting with DVD’s signed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.home shopping network logo

“Do you remember Hillary's speech at the Democratic National Convention? It was an historic moment, one that made all of us proud. If you missed the first opportunity to buy a DVD of her speech, you are in luck. We have a few of our special edition 2008 National Democratic Convention DVDs left, and we want to share them with you,” read the announcement in part. “Contribute $50 or more today, you'll receive a DVD copy of Hillary's and President Clinton's convention speeches - a unique piece of history. And, for those of you who want something extra special, you can contribute $250 or more and receive one of our special "signature" DVDs hand-signed by Hillary. We only have 50 "signature" DVDs remaining, so act fast if you'd like one for yourself or for a holiday gift!”

Only fifty copies of the signed disc will be made available believed to be a trial run for future specialty items.home shopping network

“At first glance this type of thing seem totally inappropriate, having the government hawk wares on something like the Home Shopping Network but in a lot of ways it makes perfect sense. They are working with private business and communicating directly with the populace in an effort to, ultimately, bring about change for everyone,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “Really it’s no different than raising funds in any other way just a little more public. It also gives people something tangible to take away with them and that could go a long way towards encouraging participation and good will towards the government.”hilary clinton surprised

Other items apparently being considered should this be a success are scale models of the White House and signed Presidential seals.

“It is a little pricey to be honest especially considering that it’s only DVD. If there was a blu-ray available it might be something different, but I guess it’s the content that’s really important,” continued Kinsey. “This also brings up an interesting new avenue for post-office business opportunities. By softening up people through this former government officials could have an entirely new revenue stream once they leave their jobs. If this works I wouldn’t be surprised to see people like Bill Clinton or even Colin Powell on TV hawking their wares. Really, this is nothing but good for everyone involved.”

It’s not clear if the two are related, but officials for Joseph Enterprises Inc., the makers of Chia Pet (which includes the Obama Chia) were recently in Washington for official business.
