WITH FORTY PERCENT OF THE VOTE, SARAH PALIN READY TO BE PRESIDENT

August 31 2010

Washington, D.C. – There has perhaps never been a political fairy tale like the one that Sarah Palin has been living for the past two years. Like Cinderella, she was plucked from obscurity and given a ticket to the fancy ball. She danced with a Prince cinderella prince charming
and when her time was up, she went gracefully home. Well, the first part of that was correct. Unlike Cinderella, Palin’s fairy tale has lasted long after the time when her carriage turned into a pumpkin and is still happening well after midnight.

For the majority of people the last thing they would have expected was for Palin to continue to be a real political and social force this long after her failed bid at the Vice-Presidency. To wit, she has often been mentioned as affront runner for the Republican ticket in the 2012 election, something unimaginable for this obscure politician from a relatively powerless state. Palin’s appeal to such a wide spectrum of the American public has been something totally out the ordinary, something totally unexpected and though few expect her to actually run for President, a new poll suggests that at least 40 percent of the American people believe she would do a good job as leader of the free world, which in Palin talk is virtually a lock.

“We saw these results and we are not surprised at all. Sarah has long understood the sarah palin phone
common people, something most politicians believe they are above. She has appealed to them as people, as parents, and as patriots and that has gone a long way towards making her a prominent player in the political spectrum,” said a Palin spokesperson. “We still have some ways to go, particularly in convincing independents, but forty percent is a great number and something to build on. Remember that forty percent is almost half and you won’t even need that much with all the other candidates running. The last time there was a dozen running for the Republicans alone, so this should be a cinch.”

Only two people actually run for President and nothing in the poll indicated that those forty percent will actually vote for Palin.sarah palin

“There is an intrinsic flaw in polling in that it can give you numbers that simply don’t relate to actual voting intent. People may say that someone would be good as President but that doesn’t mean they will actually vote for them. It’s really a matter of how you frame a question and how people perceive it and that is always a concern with polling,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “That said forty percent is a good number. She has to remember though that not everyone will be splitting that vote. Odds are the vote will be decided by two candidates, one for the Republicans and one for the Democrats. All the other people in the primaries are out by that time, their vote doesn’t play a part anymore.”

The poll indicated that independents, the swing voters that generally decide election outcomes, supported Palin at a 27-63 ratio.sarah palin winking

“The hard thing about politics in any country and in any realm is that you need superior numbers in order to win. Much like sport, the team with the highest score wins. Well, not golf I guess. That’s kind of the freak sport really. In politics it holds true though, every time,” continued Kinsey. “And what really matters in the U.S. is where that support comes from. The vast majority of states are irrelevant but the big ones, especially the swing ones like Florida, are essential to election victory. It’s not a popularity contest, well it kind of is but not really, more of a strategy thing really.”

Palin has reportedly called the sixty percent who don’t support her un-American and apparently believes their votes shouldn’t count. They likely will come election time.
