GEORGE BUSH GRUDGINGLY TAKES FULL CREDIT FOR KILLING BIN LADEN

September 11 2011

Washington, D.C. – For most people, the events of 9/11 couldn’t be fully avenged until Osama bin Laden was dead. He was the reason it happened, after all, and he was the principle focus of the wars that followed. Bin Laden as the big baddie and once he was killed, America could finally rest.bin laden bush

In May, that happened. In what is easily the most important single death in the 21st century, the Al Qaeda leader was gunned down in his bed clothes and dumped into an ocean grave. For many, that was the end of the trauma and the beginning of healing.

While there were no doubt many people involved in the killing of bin Laden, both on the ground and in the intelligence community, a few people have taken, and deserve to take, more credit than others. The men involved, who still remain anonymous, the leadership of the intelligence community, and of course the President who ordered the mission. One man, though, who has been reluctant to take credit for his work to capture or kill bin Laden, done two years after he had any type of influence, is former President George W. Bush. Now Bush has changed his tune and finally, grudgingly, accepted full responsibility for the killing of the dread terrorist leader.george bush 911

“It began the day after 9/11. The work that was done by intelligence communities during my presidency was part of putting together the puzzle that enabled us to see the full picture of how bin Laden was communicating and eventually where he was hiding,” Bush told USA Today a rare interview. Bush left office in early 2009.

Bush also discussed how he a his wife were ushered into the secret White House bunker in their PJ’s, along with their Scottish terrier Barney. The Bushes were the ones who extended the save our pets program to include terrorist attacks.

“On a long enough line, if you trace the roots of terror and this conclusion, you could probably credit just about every President in history with paving the way for the death of bin Laden. That’s kind of how history works. Nothing is isolated,” said Scrape TV American analyst Dave Davidson. “However, some have a direct effect. There is no doubt that a lot of what George Bush did in his Presidency eventually led, winding, to the death of bin Laden. You could argue that he was just doing his job, which he was, george bush speaking
but that would be cynical. You could argue that had he focussed on Afghanistan instead of attacking Iraq, things would have ended sooner, but that too would be cynical. Bush deserves credit for this, and it’s finally time that he has taken that credit.”

Bush has been mostly absent from the public since leaving the White House.

“To give full credit to the President who ordered the strike, to the person who put all those lives in jeopardy, who took the political fallout as a result is really weak. Obama merely followed up on what Bush started and couldn’t have done it without him,” continued Davidson. “It’s time that Bush and the country finally owned up to that. He deserves all the credit.”

Bush also discussed how uncomfortable the bed was in the bunker, with a bar running right up the middle.
