JIMMY HOFFA VOWS WAR ON REPUBLICANS FAR AWAY FROM GIANTS STADIUM
September 5 2011
Detroit, MI – Labour issues have long been a part of American politics and they are often, almost always, divided along party lines. Republicans favour management, Democrats favour labour. That has been the rhetoric for nearly a century largely because it is true. Perhaps not always, but usually.
That is precisely why Jimmy Hoffa, the son of the famous teamster leader, has come out with a scathing attack against Republicans and Tea Partiers, throwing his full support behind Barack Obama. In a time with great economic and labour strife, there is no doubt that the pair hopes the argument will swing a lot of votes, even if it makes a few very determined people angry.
“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight,” said Hoffa while warming a crowd for the President. “And you know what? They've got a war, they got a war with us and there's only going to be one winner. It's going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We're going to win that war.”
Hoffa was speaking in his home town of Michigan, which houses multiple sports stadiums, all with concrete beds.
“It’s interesting to see the fire that Hoffa has, very much like his father. That didn’t end so well for him of course but we live in different times now. We live in much more enlightened times and the fate that befell his father likely won’t happen to him, well maybe,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “Having someone like him, though, stumping for you will certainly help. Though the job issue really isn’t Obama’s fault, it is his responsibility and it will be a key factor in the 2012 election. If they can convince people that he is on the side of the workers that will push him into victory, even if those people don’t have jobs.”
Hoffa is apparently taking his show on the road, New Jersey excepted.
“I mean people in Detroit don’t have cars. At least not all of them do anyway, and that is going to restrict their access to polling stations but hopefully for Obama and the
Democrats if they can whip up enough frenzy in a working class place like Detroit that support could cascade to places where people cars aren’t on fire and they will vote for him, possibly,” continued Kinsey. “What they really need is to have more people like Hoffa around. Around and breathing that is. The worst thing that could happen is that he suffers a similar fate to his father. The key to that would just be to stay away from older sports stadiums, the ones where it’s easy to dig down to bury things. If they can do that, keep Hoffa around, he could be a very potent force in the election and that could mean victory.”
Hoffa has apparently never visited New York or New Jersey but both states are considered a lock for Obama in 2012.
