MITT ROMNEY VOWS TO FIGHT VAMPIRES IF ELECTED PRESIDENT

June 1 2011

New York, NY – There is always going to be a gap between what a politician promises to do when elected to office and what he or she is actually able to do when they take on that role. Whether it is taxes cuts or immigration or any other of the myriad of obama change
promises that are made to try and get people into the voting booths, often those things are rarely done, or if they are, it is in a compromised form. While some of those promises may be, hollow, simply done to curry favour, not getting things done is just the reality of political office.

That will happen this election cycle as well. No matter who takes the top job, whether Christie, Palin, Romney, Obama, or some wildcard they will make promises they won’t be able to deliver. They will promise wars on terror and a better economy, they will promise immigration reform and a solution to healthcare, but they will deliver on little or none of those promises. Those declarations will be made though even though the politicians know full well they won’t be able to deliver on them, and those promises will elect somebody to office. For one front-runner, Republican Mitt Romney, the promises are already starting to come out even though he hasn’t officially declared his candidacy as yet. Amongst those guarantees, Romney has vowed to fight vampires across the country and around the world if he is elected President.edward cullen

“I like silly stuff too, I like the ‘Twilight’ series. I thought that was fun. I don’t like vampires personally, I don’t know any. My granddaughter was reading it and I thought this looks like fun so I read that,” Romney said on ‘The Today Show’. He stopped short of detailing his plans for the vampire population, but it’s believed that the declaration was likely designed to court the werewolf vote.

“I think it’s very unlikely that a President Romney  would receive approval from the Congress to go after vampires throughout the world. True, the wars are stepping down but there are still serious problems that don’t involve the undead and I think it would be a fool’s errand to focus an entire campaign on this particular battle,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “He’s probably already lost the vampire vote but that won’t cause a whole lot of damage, at least not in the general election. Generally speaking vampires don’t do a whole lot of voting because many polls close while it’s still light outside. Still, many living people may vote for him with the assumption that he will do what he says he’s going to do, and that is going to put him in a sticky, or should I say stakey, situation.”

In previous interviews, Romney has been unwilling to take a side in the ‘Twilight’ debate, something most people accept as simply a Hollywood creation.mitt romney smiling

“It will be interesting to see what he does with this comment if he does take office. Would he go after American vampires? Illegals? Vampires in foreign countries which somehow pose a threat to U.S. security? These are all questions he’s going to have to resolve before bringing any type of action to Congress for approval,” continued Kinsey. “Hypothetically the vampire threat could be used as an excuse to launch attacks against countries which pose other kinds of problems. There is no clear data on the rates of vampirism in Iran or North Korea, but you can bet if they start to rattle their swords again, there may very well be a large population in those countries. That still doesn’t deal with the problem in stateside, but I’m sure he can deal with that.”

Sarah Palin has declined to comment on the vampire/werewolf issue but instead focussed her attention on the economy and how it’s affected by illegal immigration and foreign oil and terrorism and prayer in schools.
