OBAMA TAKES FIRE FOR DRY WEATHER FIREWORKS CANCELLATIONS

July 4 2011

Dallas, TX – Everybody has an idea of what it is to be American. America is, after all, the place of dreams, the place where all your wildest fantasies come to life. People from all over the world dream of what life would be like in the United States if only fourth of july picnic
they could get there. A beautiful family, incredible wealth, and all your heart could ever desire. The reality of life in the U.S. is far from those wild dreams, but that doesn’t stop people, even Americans themselves, from dreaming that it could happen.

There is no better articulation of that American dream than the Fourth of July. Fireworks, hotdogs, and apple pie, everything that makes America are all a part of that celebration of the nation’s birthday. The flag waving of that inevitably sunny day in July is the lynchpin of the American Dream, the thing all people who imagine a life in the great empire use as a touchstone. Unfortunately, for many in the U.S. already that dream has turned into a nightmare as near drought conditions sweep across the south, putting a kibosh on fireworks displays. While those conditions have upset many looking to celebrate the birth of the country in the traditional way, many have already begun looking for someone to blame, and the person receiving the brunt of that criticism is the President.

“My whole family is here. We got hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad and steaks, lots of steaks. Folk came in from all over the state, we even had some folk in from New Mexico, and now we can’t celebrate the way we are supposed to and that just ain’t right,” said Mike from Dallas. “Hell, we could hardly afford this. I been outta work for fireworks fourth of july
six months but we scraped together enough money to make this thing happen and now they say we can’t light off some fireworks. That ain’t right, it just ain’t right. It shows how bad the country is going. John McCain wouldn’t have let this happen.”

McCain lost the 2008 election to Barack Obama.

“It’s very clear from my constituency that no one is happy with the state of affairs. People are out of work, they are struggling under massive debt, we are fighting multiple wars and we owe more money than ever and now we have these terribly dry conditions over so much of the south. That has made many people upset, ordinary Americans who simply want to celebrate their country, but that has been destroyed by democratic mandate,” said one local Republican politician who preferred not to be named. “There will be a reckoning next year, I can tell you. These types of things aren’t things that people soon forget. They will look back on the summer of 2011 as the day the skies stayed dark and I’m sure Obama will be doing the same thing. I don’t think there could be any better statement on the state of the country than these dark skies over Texas.”

Thus far, no major Republican candidates have spoken out on the situation in the south.

“Generally speaking Presidents have little control over day-to-day weather conditions obama eating hotdog
across the country. Texas is a very dry state and the south is generally very warm ad so these conditions are fairly normal for the season, though it’s generally not as widespread,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “I doubt that this will have a major impact on the election. Aside from the fact that most of these states generally vote Republican to begin with, the general public tends to have a very short memory. I’m sure that come election time people will forget about this whole incident. Of course, that might change if the same thing happens next year, if Obama is just as unwilling to take action if people here have a second Fourth without fireworks. That could cause problems.”

Obama and his family are currently vacationing at Camp David where fireworks are expected.
