REPORTS INDICATE HOLLYWOOD PRODUCERS WERE PART OF TEAM THAT KILLED BIN LADEN

Washington, D.C. - Hollywood and D.C. have always had an odd connection. Long before the modern-day politically minded celebrities, Washington has always been enthralled by the glitz and glamour of Tinsel Town, and that fascination was always reciprocated. The two seemingly disparate places have always been in lockstep.
Eventually, perhaps inevitably, that resulted in the election of a star to the main office in what is still the greatest synergy the two towns have seen. That, in turn, has further solidified the relationship between the two coasts and brought them together in often strange and even confusing ways, as evidenced by a new controversy over an upcoming film about the killing of Osama bin Laden.
The movie, to be directed by Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow, has quickly become a potent political issue after Representative Pete King (R-NY) challenged the White House over the access given to filmmakers to sensitive data related to the raid which killed the terrorist leader. Now new evidence has suggested that not only have filmmakers been given access to internal data, but may actually have been a part of the team which conducted the raid back in May.
“The claims are ridiculous. We do not discuss classified information. And I would hope that as we face the continued threat from terrorism, the House Committee on 
Homeland Security would have more important topics to discuss than a movie,” said White House spokesperson Jay Carney in response to King’s complaints.
However, the fresh rumour that screenwriter Mark Boal and possibly Bigelow herself were actually members of the raid team has reignited the controversy.
“At first glance it would seem to be political posturing, just another avenue on which to attack the President and get some notice, but if these details are correct, if they did include civilians on the raid team, it could cause real problems,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “Even if they are really talented and award-winning, the notion of including civilians on dangerous military raids is really abhorrent. True, you would want to catch as many details as possible but it would be more sensible to just have them on as advisors, not actual combatants.”
It’s not clear if the filmmakers were on the chopper which had to be scuttled or if they actually entered the building during the firefight.
“You would also have to wonder if doing that would bring danger to the soldiers as well. Having untrained people carrying cameras and notebooks could really interfere with their ability to do their jobs properly and such a thing could have endangered the mission. Who knows, maybe it even caused the crash of that one helicopter,” continued Kinsey. “That would explain why they didn’t want to show photos of his body. I mean if they were too professional people would have suspected that something was up and that wouldn’t be any good. Now though it looks like they may have been caught anyway.”
Bigelow’s ex-husband James Cameron is reportedly planning on a diving expedition near bin Laden’s burial site in hopes of including it in the new ‘Avatar’ movie.
