RON PAUL DECLARES OBAMA PRESIDENCY A DICTATORSHIP
November 10 2011
Washington, D.C. – Though he has never really been taken seriously when competing on a national scale, just about everyone in American politics has a great deal of respect for Ron Paul. His occasionally radical, often impossible ideas always generate a lot of attention and passion, both from supporters and critics, leading to the national presence he currently enjoys.
Paul, though, does occasionally go a little too far in one direction or another, something people fear may have happened once again as he tries to gain ground on his Republican competitors in the national polling.
Speaking to Fox News Paul declared the current administration under Barack Obama a dictatorship, a term normally reserved for much more malevolent governments such as the one recently deposed in Libya. Thus far, no one from the Obama administration has responded to the criticism, of course it’s not like they have to anyways.
“That is arrogant. It is flaunting the Constitution and the whole principle of how we’re supposed to operate. The idea they can just do this and take over the legislative function and brag about it -- and Congress does nothing and the courts do nothing about it, it's very, very bad,” said Paul. “He's dictatorial, is what he is.”
It’s not yet clear if Obama will use his dictatorial powers to win the 2012 election, or at the very least to push Paul out of the running.
It’s also not clear if Paul is willing to help lead a revolution against the dictator or if he is simply content to just sit back and complain.
“The United States has never had a dictator and so it will be interesting to see how people respond. There will obviously be a portion of people, mostly people without jobs, who will be more than willing to jump to a revolution but others, people with houses and good jobs and the like, they will likely be less willing to fight even if they do disagree,” said Scrape TV American analyst Dave Davidson. “That’s the rub, the challenge here in the U.S. People in Libya, for example, had very little to lose. People in the States have far more to lose going against the government and that alone is going to inhibit action, for good or ill.”
It is believed likely that with his newfound power Obama will force the nation to use green technologies, likely with the threat of death should they not oblige.
“Being under the rule of such a grand power can be both good and bad. It is great that things will get done, which doesn’t really happen in the current situation, but bad if those things that get done aren’t what you want. It’s a good and bad type of situation,” continued Davidson. “Either way it’s going to be an adjustment for people but at least they won’t have to worry about the drama of the vote anymore. I mean the illusion of that will probably be maintained but the actual results people will know going in, so at least that will be off their minds.”
It is not believed that had Obama seized power that Paul would have had a chance anyways.
