TRUMP MAY HOLD DEBATE EVEN IF IT’S BY HIMSELF, MIGHT LIKE THAT BETTER ANYWAY

New York, NY – Donald Trump’s entire professional life has been built on building. Most of his fortune has come from real estate, his fame has come from building on that. Trump has always been a builder, an organizer, a man about structure and making things happen. He’s also been known to have a building or two collapse, at least metaphorically.
In his latest effort to organize and build a Republican debate in Iowa, Trump has certainly been having one of those latter experiences. Despite robust and in person pleas with the multitude of candidates to appear at his planned December 27th event, Trump has only found two takers, Newt Gingrich and some other guy, Tim or Tom or something. Not exactly the turnout the Donald had envisioned, no doubt.
Faced with that, Trump has reportedly considered cancelling the debate altogether, though source inside his inner circle insist that such talk is only a bargaining tool and that the debate may go ahead whether or not any candidates show up at all. In fact, those insiders insist, such an eventuality may actually be what the man himself wants, allowing him to moderate and debate himself in what would likely be a sure victory for the Donald.
“Donald really wanted this to happen but no one is interested. Newt, yes, and that other guy but you can’t have one guy up there debating against himself, that just doesn’t make for good TV. Unless of course that one person is Donald, which is 
something he’s considering,” said our insider. “He really appreciates Gingrich’s enthusiasm for the debate but he is starting to think that it might be better to just do it himself. He thinks that that might provide the audience with the best picture of the Republican Party as it stands.”
Trump has also had trouble recruiting audience members and technical crew for the show, despite offering incredibly low wages for everyone involved.
Trump owns a number of buildings In Iowa which will likely guarantee him a place to hold the supposed debate.
“He knows it would be a tough gig to go up and debate himself, never mind moderate as well, but Donald doesn’t do things because they are easy. In fact, he has always done things precisely because they are hard. It helps when they can make him money of course, but he does do hard things for money sometimes,” continued the insider. “He did want a proper debate which is why he invited this other guy, whatever his name is. He’s on the list and everything. He wanted a full-on debate but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.”
Trump has also raised the possibility that he may run again, once he is done with his TV show of course.
“Donald wants the best for America, he loves this country, and he feels that holding this televised debate will make America a better place and that is why he wants to hold it no matter who shows up,” continued the insider. “If that changes he’ll let the people who already said yes know. Well, at least Gingrich. I don’t think anyone has any contact information for that other guy. He’ll realize it anyway when he shows up and no one answers the door.”
Tom or Todd or Terry or whatever is name is probably could have been reached for comment but we did not try.
