WASHINGTON MAN ALL FIRED UP OVER UPCOMING ELECTION

November 16 2011

Washington, D.C. – With Occupy protests still causing trouble across the country, Iran and Israel ratcheting up towards a conflict, economic chaos in Europe, and all kinds of other domestic issues across the United States, it’s clear that if nothing else this is going to be a rambunctious election season going forward.white house south lawn

The eventual breakdown of who does what and what issues actually come to forefront is still something being worked out, but it is clear that the process is starting to heat up and at least on Washington area man is already really fired up over the process.

That man is 21-year old Oscar Ortega-Hernandez, arrested Friday for firing shots in and around the White House area. One bullet apparently bounced off a White House window, though it’s not yet clear if that was intentional or simply a bonus. Ortega-Hernandez’s political affiliations have not been revealed.

“An individual has been taken into custody following last Friday’s shooting incident in the D.C. area. I can confirm that at least one bullet did enter the White House grounds but the specifics of that will not be made public. At this stage, we have no comment on the possible motivation for the incident,” said a spokesperson for the Secret Service. “As you know the President and the First Family were not home at the time of the shooting. We believe this is an isolated incident.”

At least two rounds were found on the grounds. An assault rifle was recovered from a vehicle belonging to the suspect.assault rifle

It’s not yet clear how a man carrying an assault rifle got so close to the White House or what he had hoped to accomplish by firing rounds at the building.

“I would imagine that this will be the first and the last of this kind of thing. You can get away with something like this once, but once it happens it ruins any future chance of the same thing happening again. Now the Secret Service will likely make every effort to crack down on people carrying high-powered weaponry near the White House,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “That is probably a good thing. Whether or not you agree with the President, shooting up his home is not a good idea. It does, after all, belong to the people and they will have to bear the repair costs.”

Thus far, no Republican candidates have taken a shot at the lax security around the White House.idaho flag

“There are lots of things that will happen throughout this election season, a lot of shots that will be taken, but hopefully this is the last one like this. Shooting up buildings really doesn’t help anyone win an election, even Rick Perry,” continued Kinsey. “It does though highlight the challenges inherent in being President and shows these candidates that it isn’t necessarily an easy job, having to avoid shots from political opponents and people with assault rifles on a regular basis as they do.”

Ortega-Hernandez is believed to have ties to Idaho.
