GINGRICH PROMISES MOON BASE FOR HIS MISTRESSES

Miami, FL – Every election in every country holds with it promise, promise of change, promise of hope. Occasionally that hope becomes manifest, but most often it ends up being just false promises, usually honestly-intended promises, but false nonetheless. Barack Obama is not the first leader to make promises he couldn’t deliver upon, and he most certainly won’t be the last.
In last night’s final debate in Florida the issues of promise became a running theme, with Mitt Romney blasting Newt Gingrich for going from state to state and promising exactly what people in that state wanted, saying that very little of that could ever be delivered. He is right, of course, the economy simply isn’t fluid enough to give everyone everything they wanted, something Gingrich as a former D.C. legislator knows all too well.
Gingrich, though, has not backed down from making those promises, and one in particular that has a place close to his heart, his dream of space colonization, in particular a U.S. moon colony by the end of his second term, something dreamy by dream standards. Gingrich made it clear that he intended for such a thing to happen, appealing to both the space coast of Florida, to his own grand ambitions for himself, and of course to his many concubines who would find a safe place to stay while Gingrich was with his family or being all Presidential.
“We want Americans to think boldly about the future. By the end of my second term, we will have the first permanent base on the moon and it will be American. We will have commercial near-Earth activities that include science, tourism and manufacturing, because it is in our interest to acquire so much experience in space that we clearly have a capacity that the Chinese and the Russians will never come anywhere close to matching,” Gingrich said at a rally the day before the debate, something he reiterated when challenged by Romney.
Most scientists agree that a permanent moon colony is a little beyond our capacity right now, though is likely feasible once we have better fuel sources.
The moon is largely devoid of oxygen, gravity, food, and other amenities that most people expect in order to live. It’s also pretty far away.
“Someday we will have to move off Earth. It’s the natural progression of the species, we have to expand and grow outwards and moving into space is the next natural 
step. Unfortunately, we are quite far from that right now and even eight years from now we will likely be as far. Moving into space requires a lot of technologies we simply don’t have at this stage, things that we aren’t even close to having in fact. It is much different than the space race of the 60’, putting a permanent colony on the moon,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “The dream is great, and the ambition is pure America, but I think this will be something that if Gingrich does become President, he will find he simply can’t deliver on. He will disappoint people and himself as well, not only because a moon colony would be very, very cool but also because here on Earth there is always the chance that his mistresses and wife will meet up, God knows he has enough that it could happen at any second.”
Gingrich has apparently backed off his giant space mirror proposal for now.
