GINGRICH’S EX-WIFE REVEALS HIM TO BE THE WEASEL EVERYONE KNEW HE WAS

Washington, D.C. – Ten years ago the idea of Newt Gingrich being a viable contender for President of the country would have been unimaginable. Until recently Gingrich was not exactly highly regarded, both from within the Republican Party and outside it. His involvement with the Clinton scandals and his subsequent resignation from the House in the late-nineties, coupled with his unbridled corporate avarice, his multiple marriages, and his undeniable smugness out him on the political periphery, at best, yet here we are.
At this stage few will debate that Mitt Romney will gain the Republican nomination. No matter how well Gingrich does, his performance thus far has shown that the public still sees him very much the way they did years ago, even if they forgot for a little while, and that perception would be unlikely to allow for victory in a general election.
That perception, that concern, has very much come to the forefront today after one of Gingrich’s ex-wives decided to step forward and speak about their marriage for the first time. Like many ex-wives, she doesn’t have much good to say about the former House Speaker, though for the majority of Americans the news is likely to cause little more than a shrug of the shoulder, expecting Gingrich to be the weasel that they expected him to be all along.
“And I just stared at him and he said, 'Callista doesn't care what I do’. He wanted an open marriage and I refused,” Marianne Gingrich told ABC News of his then-mistress, now wife. “He always called me at night. Well, she was listening.”
According to her, much of that affair while the Clinton cheating scandal raged, making Gingrich just a hypercritical as pretty much every other politician who has ever lived.
Adding further fuel to the scandal is the claim that Gingrich divorced Marianne shortly after she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a new twist to political scandals.
Gingrich left his first wife while she was undergoing cancer treatment, so it really shouldn’t have been much of a surprise.
“This is, well, this is Newt Gingrich. News networks are making a big deal about this but really it’s nothing new or particularly surprising. The details are new, sure, but the motivation behind them are pretty much what we would expect from Gingrich. For him it might actually be a boon, now that people know everything,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “Sure he’s morally and ethically corrupt, but he’s a politician and that is not really a black mark anymore. At least he didn’t keep the wife on the roof of the car when the family went on vacations.”
Mitt Romney apparently stored the family dog on the car roof during family trips, something he may introduce on official Presidential vehicles if he wins.
“Everyone knew that Gingrich was a scuzzy, morally bankrupt politician. In truth, that is one of his defining characteristics and these revelations may actually reignite his campaign. I mean who hasn’t wanted to have an open marriage, especially with a sick spouse. People may not say it out loud but they want it. Gingrich is the person people want to be, and that is how they vote,” continued Kinsey. “He is the man they knew him to be all along and there is no sense pretending to get worked up now. They won’t vote him in, no two ways about that, but they were never going to do that anyways.”
Gingrich’s current wife Callista is apparently in good health right now.
