NEWT GINGRICH’S NEWEST MISTRESS ALSO REJECTS OPEN MARRIAGE ACCUSATIONS

Charleston, S.C. – During last night’s Presidential debate, in fact right from the start, the issue of the day came to the forefront. That issue was of course accusations from Newt Gingrich’s ex-wife that included, amongst other things, his desire for an open marriage and his leaving her for his mistress only months after she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Gingrich did what any politician running for President would do when faced with those questions, he attacked them, aggressively, hoping to stamp out any further talk of the scandal and declaring it an offensive to the nature of the debate itself. While there is certainly sense in that argument, that it has nothing to do with policy, the issue of Gingrich’s morals and ethics, particularly when he previously attacked President Clinton for similar actions, does give it some heft.
Ultimately sex scandals have limited power in today’s world and nothing any of Gingrich’s ex-wives say will likely have a real impact on his campaign, but still they are questions he is going to have to answer despite having made it clear where he stands. Now it appears that he isn’t alone in that stand, having the support from his newest mistress who goes by the name ‘Charity’.
“Newty is totally right. This is just silly stuff and they are just doing this to hurt him. We have never talked about an open marriage with his wife, that’s just never come up. Newty likes the cheating thing, it makes him all hot and bothered,” said ‘Charity’. “He likes the scandal, he likes being secret. He also likes other things but I don’t want to give away all his secrets. But no open marriage, none at all.”
‘Charity’ offered no proof that she is actually having an affair with Gingrich, though it’s pretty safe to assume really.
It’s not clear how many mistresses Gingrich currently has or if he has proposed the open marriage concept to any of them.
“It takes a lot of sex scandal to really do damage in today’s day and age, especially with someone like Gingrich. People know who he is and it’s really not a shock that he would have done hinky things with his wife and her friends. That’s Newt, in short, or long, don’t really know that,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “The truth is as well that he really doesn’t have a shot at getting the nomination. People are still sketchy on Romney but he is the only one with a real chance of winning the Presidency, though even that is not looking very good right now.”
Gingrich has enjoyed a surge in polls in South Carolina, where it’s legal to marry your cousin, ahead of Saturday’s vote.
“I think at this stage everyone just assumes that Gingrich is having affairs, perhaps with lots of people and other things and so any scandals like this probably aren’t going to affect the outcome of the election at all. There are all kinds of other reasons for Gingrich to lose,” continued Kinsey. “The issue of open marriage isn’t really an issue that will impact the campaign I would bet, at least not in South Carolina. Actually, especially not in South Carolina so we will have to see how the election goes.”
Gingrich left the debate last night with his wife and former mistress, the same person.
