PELOSI SAYS ROMNEY CAN’T WIN, NO ONE CAN WIN, AND THEY MIGHT AS WELL NOT EVEN TRY

January 17 2012

Washington, D.C. – The race for President is now, just now, really starting to crystallize. The candidate that no one seems to want is the candidate that seems to be on a collision course for becoming the Republican nominee for President and everyone else is starting to fall to the side. There is still technically a competition, but everyone but Mitt Romney is falling further and further back into second place.mitt romney republican nominee

That, when it eventually does officially happen, will set up the match that most people have assumed all along was going to be the case, Obama vs. Romney for President of the United States, a battle which will likely be one of the most aggressive and rambunctious election campaigns in recent history.

Who will win that contest is of course a big concern. In most campaigns in recent years the winner was a foregone conclusion months in advance, even if that person ends up not being the eventual winner as was the case with Al Gore and George Bush. This time around, though, with an incumbent struggling with popularity and a competitor no one seems to care about, the issue will be who is the least boring, and now Nancy Pelosi has made it clear that her candidate is the one and that the Republicans shouldn’t even bother trying this time around.

“If the far right thought that Romney could win, they might be more enthusiastic about him. But they question what he stands for and they don’t think he’s going to win. So what’s the sell? I’m not sure he knows what he stands for, and that makes it harder too,” Pelosi told Politco before heading off the scare children at a local haunted house. “He’s not going to be president. But I think it’s indicative of a hard line that doesn’t seem consistent with who he was as governor.”nancy pelosi crazy

Romney is considered the odds-on favourite to win the Republican nomination after winning back-to-back primaries but the final official decision will not be made until August, though if Pelosi is correct it may not matter one way or the other.

People other than President Obama are running for the Democrats but he is also the favourite to win that nomination.

“It’s great that Pelosi is trying to speed up the process, trying to just get the heart of the matter, but I think it’s probably a good thing that they continue with the election process, the whole thing. It’s valuable unto itself even if the results are already clear,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “There’s certainly something to be said for just cutting through it but I’m sure that would upset a few people. I’m sure the Republicans will run someone, Romney or whomever, to keep up appearances if for no other reason.”barack obama democratic nominee

No elections have been cancelled in favour of one candidate in U.S. history as yet.

“The election is a big deal and can be troublesome. It disrupts the status quo but still it needs to go on, for the good of Democracy even if it is a futile effort. I mean it has to be this time, Pelosi is so rarely wrong. Still, onwards and upwards and make it happen no matter who they run against the President,” continued Kinsey. “I’m sure everyone will have fun at the parties at the very least, and that is enough reason to continue.”

Pelosi has also recommended that no one run against her in her home riding, which has been mostly respected in the past.
