ROMNEY WINS IOWA IN SQUEAKER AND NOW MAY JUST BUY THE REST OF THE ELECTIONS

January 4 2012

Des Moines, IA – The first real event of the 2012 election is over, and Mitt Romney is the winner. Romney took the first primary election with an incredibly slim margin of victory, only eight votes, over Rick Santorum ahead of next week’s New Hampshire primary, one that most believe is virtual lock for the former Massachusetts Governor.mitt romney plotting

With the result in from Iowa, undoubtedly the field will start to get smaller with many candidates losing donor support and very quickly droping out of the race, leaving only a handful of high-profile players – Romney, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich – and others to whittle down to an eventual winner who will take on Barack Obama in November.

For Romney, the long-presumptive candidate, the victory is a kind of vindication, particularly after so many other candidates rose and fell leading up the election. That tight victory, while a relief, has also a bit of a concern for the Romney campaign which is now considering buying votes for the rest of the campaign, and eventually building up enough cash to just buy the White House.

“We are thrilled that the electorate in Iowa chose the right candidate. This is a huge victory for us and we are thrilled to have such a great start. It has been a tough fight here in Iowa, but we are ready and energetic for the next stage in taking the White House back,” said a Romney insider. “We didn’t like mitt romney campaign
how close it was and so after New Hampshire we are just going to spend more money. Mitt has a lot of it and we have raised a lot from our wonderful and generous donors and we really want to put that to good use. Buying the elections is going to be so much easier.”

Romney is worth a reported $250 million personally, probably not enough to buy the White House outright but easily enough to buy states such as South Carolina and North Dakota. Wyoming, it is believed, can be bought for a ham sandwich with the right mustard.

“Iowa was a big deal, it always is because it’s the first one, but for Romney it was particularly important because it was the biggest cash outlay for everyone else. Now there will be fewer competitors and they will have less cash, kind of like running people up on that show ‘Storage Wars. It leaves him in a great spot to just spend like crazy,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “The White House will be a different thing because Obama will not be as spent during the primaries, really not at all, and that will make buying the White House a very expensive proposition but I mean it is the White House, hard to pass that up no matter the expense.”mitt romney victory

Regardless of how much money Romney spends, he will not be able to actually keep the White House, like the physical building.

“Iowa was a good start but it is just a start. He’s in a good spot, a much better one than most of his competitors and that speaks well to his ability to eventually have success buying more and more of these states. I mean he won’t get them all, who wants them really, but he’ll get enough and then move on to the big buy,” continued Kinsey. “He’s done the work, built up the capital, and now he’s in the best position to grab the big prize because of all that wealth. A good purchase, frankly, a smart investment.”

Newt Gingrich has already gone out and bought every kind of mustard he can find. It’s not clear if it will be enough at this stage.
