RON PAUL SAYS HE HAS NO INTENTION OF DROPPING OUT OR VOTING FOR HIMSELF

January 30 2012

Gorham, ME – Eventually the Republican Party will have a candidate for President. It will not be the candidate that makes everyone happy, if such a thing is ever possible, but it will be a candidate who will run for President and try to unseat Barack Obama.
That candidate will likely not be Ron Paul despite his continuing presence in the race. ron paul maine

More and more the battle for the nomination has come down to two candidates, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich with the former the most likely of the pair to garner the nod. Paul, who has become a perennial candidate in these competitions, has only won a handful of delegates and is running far, far behind the two leaders in the race but despite that, he is staying in the hunt.

Paul, who has made this run twice before, has enjoyed perhaps his greatest mass appeal this time around but still ended up behind the pack. Despite that, Paul has decided to continue with the race until the bitter end even if no one who wants to vote for him actually does, himself included, and even if he doesn’t even come close to having a shot at winning any more delegates.

“Some other campaigns have many, many millions of dollars to run a campaign. We maximize the delegates the way we're doing it. I think that's premature. We have a ways to go,” Paul said to a group of supporters outside a Maine L.L. Bean, most of whom probably won’t vote for him in the February 4th primary in that state.
The next big contest, Florida, will be run tomorrow with Paul polling at 11 percent. ron paul florida

Romney is the front-runner with 43 percent in the state that has a hefty number of delegates.

It’s believed that Rick Santorum will also continue his candidacy after losing Florida, likely because he is even crazier than Paul.

“This is really the last kick at the can for Paul and so of course he’s going to stay in the race. I mean he doesn’t really enter the race to win in the first place, that’s pretty obvious. I mean no one thinks he’s going to when , likely not even him, but it gives him a national platform to talk about the things he cares about and that is a great for an old guy like him,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “I’m sure he will stay in the race even long after it’s done, perhaps even through the New Year, that’s just the way Ron Paul is, he just doesn’t give up, ever.”

Paul has stated his intention to vote for himself should he get the Republican nomination, though it’s believed unlikely either will actually happen.

“You can’t really dislike Ron Paul even if you disagree with him on many things, and ron paul all alone
frankly there aren’t that many things that anyone disagrees with him on. He’s pretty reasonable and pleasant and that makes him very likable and in many ways a great candidate for President, which everyone seems to agree upon even if they don’t want to vote for him,” continued Kinsey. “I mean they would want to vote for him but they wouldn’t actually do it, which is really Paul’s problem. I guess if he were at least willing to vote for himself that could help the situation but I doubt he can even bring himself to doing that.”

Paul reportedly went for lunch after the rally only to find that he wasn’t really hungry when he got to the restaurant.
