MOST EXTINCT SPECIES COMING BACK FROM THE DEAD

October 6 2010

Queensland, Australia – it has been argued that life simply isn’t meant to live. The argument goes like this; the earth is violent and hostile place that perpetually brings destruction to life forms, rendering most of them extinct. While such a theory would homo spaiens
presuppose a conscious being at work, the hard reality is that most species that have ever lived on our planet are now extinct, rendered into fossils and children’s toys. Even our own species has been faced with such extinctions with Homo sapiens being the sole survivor of a diverse animal.

Of course not all of those extinction are in the long past. Perhaps one of the most famous recent disappearances is the Dodo bird which steadily vanished as human beings began to infiltrate its natural habitat. Whether a result of human interference or the result of some natural cataclysm, such as the type that eradicated most species of dinosaurs, most species of life have and will in the future face the very real likelihood of extinction. However, new research has indicated that extinction may not be as permanent as previously believed with as many as one third of previously vanished species starting to reappear, leading many to believe that either our science is dramatically incorrect, or that some higher power is returning species back to the living.coelacanth

“We identified 187 mammal species that have been missing since 1500. In the complete data-set, 67 species that were once missing have been rediscovered. More than a third of mammal species that have been classified as extinct or possibly extinct, or flagged as missing, have been rediscovered. Mammals that suffered from loss of habitat were the most likely to have been declared extinct and then rediscovered,” wrote Dr. Diana Fisher of the University of Queensland, Australia. “Many of these rediscoveries are undoubtedly the result of misclassification but Mammals missing in the 20th century were nearly three times as likely to be rediscovered as those that disappeared in the 19th century, this despite our science and penetration of the natural world being more robust.”

Fisher stopped short of saying that a higher power might be at work, but that has not stopped others from speculating.dodo bird

“I’m not saying its God or some deity such as God but there is certainly some kind of power that we simply do not understand at work here. It makes no sense in the modern age for these species to be suddenly appearing. Our knowledge of the world is too vast for large animals to hide for this long, which of course means they have been resurrected,” said Dr. Philip Waite of the Bond University. “What force brought them back to life is a mystery but it is clear they are coming back. Thus far it is small and docile animals such as the okapi but it will be a much different story when top level predators start to reappear. That is a real fear.”

Sabre Tooth cats, megalodon, and of course dinosaurs are amongst the most feared of return engagements.megaladon tooth

“There is little doubt that the sudden introduction of a major predator would seriously unbalance the natural world and provide us, human beings, with a major threat to our survival. It isn’t just the fact that they can eat us, it is also about food competition. We do however have many, many guns so the advantage could be ours,” said Scrape TV Zoology analyst Cambridge Walker. “However if many of these species appear at once it could be us that’s on the endangered list. They would so seriously upset our order and cause a lot of panic and that would put human beings on the defensive for the first time in a long time. In the end though we will probably end up eating them.”

It is not believed that a mad scientist is currently resurrecting these animals, though scientists have not totally ruled out the possibility.
