ONLY A FEW TRANSFORMED AFTER HUNDREDS ATTACKED BY VAMPIRE BATS

August 15 2010

Urakusa, Peru – Human history has been replete with tales of monsters. Everything from giant sea beasts to giant lizards have illustrated and terrified generations. In the modern world many of those beasts have been downgraded to reality, to mere myth, loch ness monster
but in ancient times such tales were taken as real. Even today stories about giant sea animals and fur covered men grab the public’s imagination even if they are mostly dismissed as the ravings of lunatics. In today’s world, with real life monsters, such fantastic tales are hardly necessary.

Nevertheless, there are certainly things that occur in the world that defy conventional explanation. The sudden disappearance of aircraft or the appearance of strange lights in the sky are not simply products of people’s imaginations, yet remain unexplained by modern science. Myth though remains powerful in our world and those tales, considered for the most part totally fictional, drive popular culture. One of those monsters has been for the better part of a hundred years the vampire which recently has enjoyed a surge in popularity due to large part to popular movies and TV shows. In a remote village in Peru however the vampire mythology is anything but as they endure and infestation of vampire bats which have bitten hundreds, killed a handful, and turned untold numbers into blood lusting night stalkers.vampire bat teeth

“We have seen a dramatic increase in recent months of these attacks from vampire bats. The primary concern is the spread of rabies which we believe is the reason that we have had deaths, specifically four children in the village. Currently we are inoculating people throughout the region,” said Peruvian Health Ministry official Jose Bustamente. “Thus far rabies is the only disease we have been able to diagnose and is the only one we are treating. We have heard stories of people suddenly disappearing after being bitten but we cannot confirm that the two incidents are related. We have no evidence that anyone in the region has been turned into anything resembling a vampire which is good as we have no way to inoculate against such an infection.”

Thus far no further attacks have been reported in the area.bela lugosi dracula

“Incidents of Vampirism have been reported for hundreds of years outside of fiction but science has never been able to corroborate such reports, which I guess makes sense. I mean if you were a vampire the last thing you would want to do is make your presence known to everyone lest you end up with a stake through the heart,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “It is in the best interest of any vampire to remain incognito to not only avoid staking or other such persecution but also to ensure that there are plenty of victims on which to feed. If vampires suddenly became famous and well known it would be next to impossible for them to function in the way vampires function which is one possibility as to why we haven’t seen them.”

There is no indication that the deaths in Peru are a result of anything but a rabies infection.

“The other thing here is that nowhere in the record does it indicate that people are lost boys kiefer sutherland
turned into vampires as the result of a bit from a regular bat. It requires a person to be bit by a vampire itself, which of course can turn into a bat, but regular bats no matter the name aren’t going to change people into the undead,” continued Poe. “It’s very unlikely that all of these bites would have been from real vampires. The area is out of the way so it would be an ideal hiding place for bloodsuckers but I doubt they would hide so effectively and then suddenly start biting everyone. Unless of course they have decided to take over the world which I guess is a possibility.”

Peruvian churches have reportedly been overrun with demand for holy water.
