ARMCHAIR ASTRONOMER FINDS MARS IS COVERED IN TINY WHITE PIXELS

San Luis Obispo, CA – For as long as we have been able to observe her, Mars has been a source of great fascination for human beings. For most of our time with the red planet, which dates back to ancient Egypt, it was a mystery of the Heavens, one
more of great mysteries that revolved around us. Eventually though as we started to discover the true nature of the universe, Mars became something else entirely, a likely launching point for an alien invasion force.
Now our sibling planet is neither of those things, it is simply another body in the solar system which becomes even more mysterious than ever as we discover more about its history and composition. Now, in this sleepy California town, once called ‘the happiest city in America’ a new and potentially revolutionary discovery has been made on the surface. Cruising through Google’s flyby map of the planet, casual astronomer David Martines has discovered a strange white marking on amidst the red of that so dominates the surface of our neighbour. Calling it ‘Bio Station Alpha’, Martines has set the web world on fire, speculating that the spot could indeed be a facility created by men or martians for reasons unknown. To most observers, the spot appears to be just that, possibly a digital artifact left by the camera. Whatever it may be though, it’s clear that the surface of Mars isn’t as desolate as once believed and may in fact be dotted with other mysterious pixels.
“It's very unusual in that it's quite large, it's over 700 feet long and 150 feet wide, it looks like it's a cylinder or made up of cylinders. It could be a power station, or it could be a biological containment or it could be a glorified garage. Hope it's not a weapon,” Martines said in his YouTube video. “I don't know if they could pull off such a project without all the people seeing all the material going up there. I sort of doubt NASA has anything to do with this. I don't know if NASA even knows about this.”
Martines also noted that the pixels appeared very well maintained.
“Mars has always been, quite correctly, the focus of much of our fascination with the solar system. Obviously our understanding of the planet has evolved in recent years, particularly after all the trips we have taken there, but that really only makes it more interesting and more important,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “In many ways it is our twin and in discovering what happened to Mars, why it did not succeed as a planet, we can possibly find answers to the potential threats out there for us. In a lot of ways it is a portrait of a possible future for Earth, and in that discovering the planet is even more important now than it was in the days of Martian invasions.”
Though officials from Google and the Jet Propulsion laboratory have not commented on the discovery, a few YouTube commentators have speculated that the white spots could be a staging ground for a fresh attack from the planet.
“More than likely what we are seeing in these images is exactly what most people 
seem to think it is, nothing, just artifacts from the digital image. The real question though is how many of these strange pixels might exist across the surface. If they are abundant, that could mean something else entirely,” continued Poe. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it’s something like Martians messing with our camera images, but it is very possible that if these pixels appear across the planet they could become a threat. Perhaps they will steadily consume the surface and the planet itself, which is something that could eventually happen here given similar conditions. Hopefully that isn’t the case.”
No other reports of pixels, white or otherwise, have been reported on any other planet.
