CLEVELAND VOTED PLACE MOST LIKELY TO BE IMPROVED BY ZOMBIE INVASION

December 4 2011

Cleveland, OH – Zombies. Zombies everywhere. Since their modern inception in George A. Romero’s horror masterpiece ‘Night of the Living Dead’ zombies have become a cultural icon, a monster for the modern age that have only become more popular since their inception.zombie attack

What was once underground has now become mainstream, best evidenced by the hit TV ‘The Walking Dead’ which has disgusted and compelled millions of viewers, something Romero surely could not have imagined creating his little independent film all those years ago.

Zombies have become so popular that they have reached outside the fictional world and into the real one. While no one expects that a zombie pandemic the likes of which has been portrayed onscreen could ever occur in real life, the fantasy of such has become real. Nightmare scenarios of real cities overrun with the walking dead are as common as any other end of the world scenarios. Now though a new survey has determined that not all places would be destroyed by the zombie apocalypse, that some might actually be improved, most of all Cleveland.

“We studied a number of cities across North and South America, Asia, and Europe and determined that across the board Cleveland would be the most improved by the situation. Taking into account factors such as population size, crime rates, distribution of firearms and melee weapons, and number of empty buildings in which to hide zombie invasion
Cleveland was the hands down choice,” said Michael Carter who led the study. “This is not an issue of mere survival, in fact we determined that Detroit would be the easiest city in which to survive because of the lack of population, but actually improvement to the local economy and population base.”

Coming in second place was Detroit’s neighbour, Windsor, Canada which is often mistaken for being in the midst of a zombie outbreak already.

Presumed favourite Buffalo was determined to have far too much potential to light on fire to be viable in the case of an outbreak.

“Keep in mind we are not encouraging a zombie epidemic as that would most likely bring about the end of the world, but this was rather an intellectual discussion to determine which cities would be the best in which to live following such an outbreak,” continued Carter. “The people in Cleveland might be eager to bring about the cleveland
apocalypse with this news but keep in mind that a real world model is much different from a statistical one. A lot of people in Cleveland would die or be converted and that would be unpleasant.”

Larger cities such as New York and Los Angeles ranked low on the scale because of the amount of biting likely to go on.

Mexico City ranked highest on the survival scale because of the eagerness to kill even living people there.
