CLIMATE SCEPTICS WINNING THE WAR AGAINST GLOBAL WARMING

Washington, D.C. – Aside from the most extreme and poorly educated climate sceptics, few would argue that the climate of the planet is changing. Thing are adjusting and shifting but the real debate is over how extreme those shifts are and what might be causing it. While advocates argue that it is human interference, sceptics dismiss that idea outright, and it appears that the latter are starting to win the argument.
Across the world the movement to knock down speculation of human participation in global warming and other environmental changes has taken hold, leaving scientists and climatologists at a loss, concerned that we may be headed to a precipice from which we will never return. However, the growing power of scepticism may in fact have had the opposite effect with the awareness of global warming declining, making it no longer a problem, effectively curing the issue once and for all.
“There's been a very strong campaign by those who want to continue fossil fuel 'business as usual', and the scientific story has not been powerful enough to offset that push,” said James Hansen of NASA . “They (sceptics) have been winning the argument for several years, even though the science has become clearer.”
Hansen is a climate change advocate and argues that despite the growing influence of the sceptics the environmental situation has not actually gotten better, citing recent forest fires in Texas and Russia as evidence of global warming. Most sceptics simply aren’t sure that those fires happened in the first place, or at least not in the way or to the extreme that many advocates stated.
“There is a serious concern amongst scientists that if we ignore these issues that they will only get worse, that we are mortgaging the future of the human race for short term gain and unfortunately abuses and bad science have pushed their argument even further towards the edge,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “Of course it has also made it far less of a priority. Eventually if the sceptics get their way and entire generation of children will grow up not knowing anything about global warming or other environmental issues and that will pretty much be that. That pretty much does away with the problem once and for all and all this debate and argument just goes away.”
Many sceptics have also cited warmer winters as a benefit of global warming, which doesn’t exist.
“There may be a piper to pay somewhere down the line but that is for the future. For now, as long as we go with the sceptics, we don’t really have anything to worry about. Sure, you’ll get a little more burned in the summer and food will cost a little more, but that just means you wear more sun block and eat less fresh fruit. Problem solved,” continued Poe. “There is the possibility, though, that simply ignoring these issues will cause real serious problems but that is for other people to figure out sometime in the future. For us, well it’s time to enjoy the weather rather than questioning it.”
Many sceptics also point to the global warming that occurred during the dinosaur age, which helped prompt their demise and led to mammals, just for arguments sake.
