NEW HYPERSONIC MISSILE WILL STRIKE ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME

Washington, D.C. – Really since rockets were invented there have been few developments in terms of missile technology. Yes, ranges have increased, speeds have accelerated, but the thinking behind missiles has really not changed dramatically. At least until now. 
A new missile, successfully tested over Hawaii on Thursday, will likely forever change the face of global conflict. Capable at flying many times the speed of sound, the ‘Advanced Hypersonic Weapon’ (AHW) promises to make the long, laborious process of waiting for a missile to strike a thing of the past. Capable of striking anywhere on the planet within an hour, the new missile provides the U.S. arsenal with a new, deadly weapon capable of delivering a massive payload on an unsuspecting target without all the hassle of having to wait forever.
Already Russian and Chinese military engineers are working on an even faster rocket, while North Korea claims to have a missile capable of striking anywhere on the globe instantly, no waiting whatsoever.
“This is a new and very valuable weapon in the United States arsenal, which will provide us with the ability to respond to any targets, anywhere in the world, in an efficient and effective manner, as well as provide a deterrent for malignant forces,” said a spokesperson for the Department of Defense. “This is a significant leap forward in missile technology and we are very pleased with the test results.”
Hypersonic is considered anything above mach 5, which is five times the speed of sound.
The missile, which can be equipped with all manner of warheads, is also manoeuvrable which means that operators will be able to respond to moving targets, or to just take out something or someone else entirely.
The missile, officially classified as a bomb, cost 69 million dollars meaning that it likely won’t be used capriciously.
“This is potentially really great news for the military, provided of course that they can get the price down a little. Having the ability to strike at any target in the world in such a short response time is a real advantage, especially with terrorists who move frequently and generally try to avoid missiles of any kind,” said Scrape TV Military analyst Michael Kent. “It could also work to inhibit actions from aggressive nations who will more than likely be a little hesitant if they know the U.S. can hit them so fast.”
The DOD made no mention as to when the missile will be officially deployed.
“The biggest advantage here, though, is a relief from all the waiting. Normally operators would spend hours waiting for the missiles to land when launched from remote locations. They get distracted and it’s really a waste of manpower. Though the cost is high, much of the savings will be made there, in not wasting labour,” continued Kent. “It also means that conflicts will be resolved much more quickly and that’s certainly a good thing. Sometimes these war things just drag on and on and on and most of it is just waiting, but now that will at least be reduced, which is a relief to everyone. Well, not the targets mind you, but everyone else.”
Israel has apparently found evidence that Iran is working on a hyper-hypersonic missile which would travel at five times mach 5.
