RUSSIA SETS OUT TO CONQUER MARS AND EVENTUALLY THE UNIVERSE

Moscow, Russia – It has been a long, long time since mankind has taken bold steps into space. True, we have made major advances in science with near earth exploration, but those adventures have become mundane. They simply haven’t sparked the imagination the way the moon landings did all those years ago.
Now one country, the country on the losing end of that first space race, is seeking to inspire once again as Russia starts early planning for a manned mission to Mars, a voyage which would no doubt spark the imagination of millions again.
Teaming with the European Space Agency (ESA), Roskosmos has apparently started to sketch out plans to travel to the red planet, which many will hope will be a stepping stone to the wider universe. While no date has been set, it appears that the Russians are eager to get things started, hoping to beat the Americans to the planet and claiming it for their own.
“This is not simply a dream, this is something which is going to happen. It will take a great deal of planning and a great deal of money but it is something which will happen. Russians will be on Mars. It is the red planet after all,” said an insider with Roskosmos, the Russian space agency. “We did not want these plans revealed so openly but now that they are out there we have no choice but to go with it. Mars will be taken by Russia, now and forever.”
The plan was outed by an official for the ESA at a Moscow air show on Wednesday.
“We have been conducting simulations for a length of time now and they have shown us that it is indeed possible to man these types of flights so now all that is left is for us to do this, and this is what Russia will do,” continued the insider. “The Americans have chosen to be scared of Mars, to run away like little children, but this is not what Russia does. Russians run into danger and wrestle it to the ground. Americans avoid these risks which is why Russia will extend to Mars and beyond. This is what Russians do.”
President Obama cancelled the planned Mars mission last year, possibly out of cowardice.
“A mission to Mars is not going to be an easy thing, by any stretch. Travel to the moon is relatively simple in terms of space travel but even by today’s technology, a trip to Mars is going to be a major challenge, even for people who aren’t afraid of such a thing,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “However, if they are able to make it to the planet before anyone else than the Russians would certainly have an advantage in space. That is something that the U.S. should really try to avoid at all costs. The last thing they really want is to compromise the future and have future generations dealing with a Russian Mars. They resisted the spread of that country once before, in small little countries, they should have the same aggression when it comes to dealing with a whole planet.”
The Russian space agency has apparently already been crowding out the rest of Europe in the testing facilities.
