SCIENTIST PREDICTS ALIEN CONTACT SHORTLY, U.S. OFFICIALS NOT HAPPY

June 30 2011

Moscow, Russia – It has been a long-held fantasy for the better part of a hundred years that eventually, someday, we will encounter alien beings. The subject of countless books, movies, TV shows, and video games, the dream of alien encounters stars beautiful
was been a potent and vibrant part of popular culture throughout the technology-laden twentieth century, something which has continued into the modern day. Much like religious visions of burning bushes and angels, aliens have become the go-to fantasy for people looking for something beyond their regular lives.

Like those religious stories of the past, aliens have been both friendly and menacing. Ultimately though, the recurring theme throughout all those tales is one of human beings. They are stories of courage and triumph, of understanding and of the enduring power of the human spirit, something religion has touted for thousands of years. The difference between angels and aliens, however, is that we have a way of finding the latter. Already we have found evidence of potential life, microbial perhaps, on near earth bodies such as the Moon and Mars. Those discoveries, it is believed, will eventually lead to the discovery of more complex human-like aliens with which we can interact. Now a scientific forum in Russia has given a timeline for that very discovery, predicting that alien contact will occur within twenty years, a timeline which the U.S. government is apparently not all that happy has been revealed to the public.

“The genesis of life is as inevitable as the formation of atoms. Life exists on other
planets and we will find it within 20 years. These beings would most likely resemble alien ship independence day
human beings with two arms, two legs and a head. They may have different colour skin, but even we have that,” said Professor Andrei Finkelstein, director of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Applied Astronomy Institute. “The eventual discovery of these beings is not a possibility but an eventuality. I hope to see these beings in my lifetime.”

Unfortunately for Finkelstein his talk may have ended any possibility that such a meeting will occur as it has apparently created a great deal of consternation amongst U.S. officials.

“Trust me, no one wants anyone saying these things. We are fine with people making silly little movies and video games, in fact that actually helps. It keeps things in the realm of fantasy and that prevents ordinary people from thinking about it seriously. It’s a kind of clowning,” said one U.S. official who asked not to be named. “To have real scientists talking about this is something else entirely. There are plans in place and a whole lot of effort has been made over the last seventy years and we don’t want some self-righteous professor messing things up. We are dealing with a lot of different variables here and it is a very delicate balance. He should really just shut his mouth or someone is going to shut it for him.”

Apparently, a small delegation of U.S. intelligence officials jumped a plane to Moscow only hours after the comments were made.area 51

“I can’t talk about specifics obviously, but we are going to have to make it clear to this professor that while we appreciate his scientific work and analysis, trying to force our hand like this is going to result in trouble for everyone involved,” continued the insider. “Let’s just say that we are going to insist that he stops his little lectures. We are going to make it clear that there really is no option in this, that this isn’t a conversation. And trust me, the Russian government is totally on our side with this thing.”

Multiple calls to Finkelstein’s office were not answered. The phone just rang and rang.
