SCIENTISTS FROM THE FUTURE FIND TIME TRAVEL IS IMPOSSIBLE

Hong Kong, SAR – There are many scientific advances which will simply never come to be. Things like flying cars or intelligent machines are on the periphery of actual science and engineering, things which we can imagine, but which will likely never 
happen. They are, essentially, the mechanical version of dragons and leprechauns. Great for stories, but things we will never see in the real world. Of all those fantastical scientific advances there is one, above all others, which draws the most interest and most passion, time travel.
The appeal is obvious. Travelling to some distant time to witness a world you’ve only read about, or travelling to the future to see where you will end up or what the world will look like is a very appealing concept. It also plays into the notion of going back into one’s life to right wrongs and the perhaps take a different direction. Because of that lust (and for plot purposes), time travel has become a staple in fiction, further reinforcing the notion that such a thing is actually possible. Unfortunately, though science appears to have proven the exact opposite after researchers at the University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong demonstrated that a photon cannot travel faster than the speed of light, the theoretical threshold beyond which would allow time travel. While that news has broken the hearts of many hopefuls, others are calling the research into doubt after learning that the researchers involved knew a little too much about the reaction to the news, suggesting they themselves may be from the future.
“Einstein claimed that the speed of light was the traffic law of the universe or in simple 
language, nothing can travel faster than light,” wrote the researchers on the school website. “Professor Du's study demonstrates that a single photon, the fundamental quanta of light, also obeys the traffic law of the universe just like classical EM waves.”
In layman’s terms that means that and effect cannot happen before a cause, a core component of time travel, at least to the future.
“The evidence is fairly compelling but what people are questioning is the motivation of these researchers. No one seems to want to talk about the fact that they knew that there would be a harsh reaction to this news, or that they knew in advance exactly the arguments to make to put down all those critics which would suggest that they knew the response already,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “I’m not saying that they are from the future, but you have to look at who would have the most to gain from proving that time travel is impossible and that would be people from the future hiding here in secret. Those people have a vested interest in keeping things quiet, at least until they get to the point where the person who invents time travel is supposed to invent it.”
Officials have denied that the researchers are from the future and apparently have documentation proving such claims.
“The real question is whether or not these researchers are reacting to something, like say a fellow traveller who is trying to upset the balance, trying to push forward the time when we discover time travel, or if they are simply part of the mechanics of finding time travel,” continued Poe. “That’s where it gets really complex because they play a major role in the discovery of the thing which sent them back in time without which they would not be sent back in time to aid in its discovery. It’s all very complicated, but it’s pretty clear they are trying to hide something from our time.”
Insiders also indicate that researchers on the team all have an uncanny knowledge of what they are going to have for dinner and don’t even pretend otherwise.
