WOOLLY MAMMOTH WILL BE BACK ON DINNER PLATES WITHIN FIVE YEARS

December 11 2011

Osaka, Japan – For most of our reign on the planet all humans beings have done is destroy and rebuild things to our liking. We have laid waste to a huge portion of the natural world and reshaped in our image, taking out everything that stood in our way, living or dead.wooly mammoth baby

That aggression has allowed us to become easily to most successful species to ever live on the planet, spreading to every corner of the globe and beyond, letting nothing get in our way, including other species which we have routinely driven to extinction.

Things have changed now. No longer are we aggressively moving outwards trying to expand at all costs. We have relaxed, settled in, and started to discover the things that make life worth living and that includes helping the species our ancestors would have, or did, drive to extinction. Now instead of just preventing further extinctions we have advanced to the level of actually bringing some of them back, including the Woolly Mammoth which will likely be resurrected and on our dinner plates within a few years.

“This is the key that we have required to make this work. Finding an undamaged strain is the thing we have been looking for for a number of years and it will enable us to finally bring this species back to life,” said a spokesperson for Kinki University in Osaka. “We expect that within five years we will once again see this species roaming around.”woolly mammoth

Researchers in Russia recently uncovered a thigh bone containing an undamaged strain of DNA. That strand will be placed in the egg cells of an elephant, which will then carry the mammoth to term.

It’s not clear where the massive animals will be stored once resurrected but many of them will end up in freezer cases at supermarkets around the world eventually.

“This is interesting but it has been promised before. Mammoths are the one species that we keep looking to because so many of them have been preserved in the permafrost and it’s been a hope for a long time that they can be resurrected,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “I guess the question isn’t whether or not we can, it’s whether or not we should. I mean these animals aren’t going to rise up and take over the planet, that’s just ridiculous, but we are steadily eroding the environments of animals currently around so bringing another species back just seems like a waste of time.”

Mammoths have been extinct for around 10,000 years.steak

“We are going to end up with poachers hunting them for their tusks, that’s a given in the wild. I also have doubts as to whether or not Mammoth meat will take off in most countries. It will tough and chewy, like elephant, and so the motivation for keeping them around is going to be limited,” continued Poe. “Plus, they will consume a large number of resources and that might make them more trouble than they are worth. Who knows, we may actually resurrect them only to push them back into extinction again which might be for the best. Unless they are delicious, that would change the situation.”

The French will likely eat Mammoth meat.
