KOBE BRYANT DIDN’T RAPE ANOTHER WOMAN BUT WIFE STILL FILES FOR DIVORCE

Los Angeles, CA – You can never have it all, at least not all of the time. For a little while Kobe Bryant surely must have thought he did have it all. Free from his rough early day with the Lakers, he has become the star everyone believed he would become. He has 5 NBA championships and, despite a whole lot of early issues, appeared to have a strong and happy marriage.
That latter one appears to be no more after his wife of 10 years filed for divorce on Friday. Vanessa Bryant, citing irreconcilable differences, made it clear that the issues in their marriage were simply too much to bear, and that after years of trying, the marriage had just become irretrievable, especially after all the cheating.
Bryant, though not commenting directly on the reasons for the split, is apparently determined to win back his wife, even going so far as to bring some of the women he has recently slept with to the family home to have them testify that he did not rape them, hoping to win back her affections.
“Vanessa is just sick of it. She has put up with a lot from him, a lot of cheating, and it’s just not something she’s willing to do anymore. She believes that he hasn’t raped any more women lately, she’s taken his word on that, but it’s not enough to save the marriage,” said an insider close to the situation. “She’s glad that he isn’t raping any more women. That was a hard time the first time and she nearly divorced him then, but cheating isn’t a whole lot better. It’s a little better for sure, but still pretty bad. She just doesn’t want to deal with it anymore.”
California does not have a rape clause in divorce proceedings.
The couple has two children and, apparently, no prenuptial agreement. Courts in that state generally rule for the mothers and against rapists in divorce proceedings.
“This is going to be a big deal. Kobe has all kinds of money, somewhere in the neighbourhood of $150 million and that is going to make this a big divorce case. The whole rape or no-rape thing almost doesn’t matter, to be honest, in this case. If he has been cheating that’s really enough for a divorce, it doesn’t matter whether the women he’s cheated with are willing, for this particular case anyways,” said Scrape TV Legal analyst Gabe Hawthorne. “It’s great that he isn’t raping anyone else, at least not a regular basis, but that is not going to protect his estate. Cheating is still going to lose you a lot of money and he is going to find that out the hard way.”
Bryant has apparently asked a number of his recent conquests to undergo medical tests to further prove that he didn’t rape them, not even a little bit.
“From a moral standpoint it’s great that he’s gotten over his raping, which will help with the judge, but is not going to necessarily protect his fortune. Rape is a kind of stain that lasts for a long time, it’s hard to shake,” continued Hawthorne. “Maybe if he can display to the judge that he has stopped all the raping he will be able to make a custody argument, but it is unlikely that he will be able to stop the divorce overall. He still cheated on his wife, willingly or not.”
Bryant has never claimed, yet, that he was raped by any of the women in his life. It’s not clear how something like that would play with a judge.
