NFL INVESTIGATING TIM TEBOW FOR GOD ENHANCED PERFORMANCE

New York, NY – There has been, arguably, no player to enter the NFL with more controversy surrounding him than Tim Tebow. Much of that controversy has certainly been centered on him as player. He’s small, he doesn’t have the best arm, and he scrambles too much. All of that would normally negate him from the pivot position, but Tebow wins and reconciling those two things has been tough.
Secondary to his weaknesses as a player is his faith. While religion has always played a part in sports, from team prayers to scoring celebrations, rarely has anyone been so vocal and so devout in their beliefs as Tebow. So much so that even in the heavily religious NFL many have become irritated by Tebow’s religious proclamations, further pushing him to the periphery.
Now the NFL, previously agnostic in their opinion of Tebow, has apparently started to take notice of all the attention others have been paying him and, unofficially for now, begun to investigate whether or not he is relying too heavily on the Almighty and whether or not that gives him an advantage on the field.
“It’s been pretty clear to everyone watching that his success is really out of line with his abilities, his skill set, and while normally that would just be chalked up to being the kind of X factor that exists in many athletes we are concerned that it might be something more,” said an NFL insider. “No one wants to really be forward with this 
because it could offend a lot of people but it is pretty clear that something special is happening with Tebow and it really shouldn’t and that is prompting us to take a second look.”
Tebow has been 4-1 as a starter for the lowly Broncos despite all his physical disadvantages. Despite that success, the team has not made him the official starter which both illustrates the unease teams have with him, and possibly the ongoing investigation.
“He is doing things that are not normal. Not superhuman or anything like that, not out of the realm of human ability, but certainly out of the realm of his ability and that is really a serious concern. While we have always tolerated some level of religion, we are concerned that perhaps Tebow is indulging a little more than others,” continued the spokesperson. “We will conduct a thorough investigation before drawing any firm conclusions but the outside evidence is pretty clear. Still, we will have to pursue this investigation before deciding on any course of action.”
It’s not clear what the NFL will be able to do if Tebow is in fact abusing God. There is currently nothing in the rules regarding that type of abuse.
“I doubt this will go anywhere, frankly. Even if he is abusing the system a little bit arguing about religion in sports will not go over all that well in general and, frankly, the NFL is always going to want stars and Tebow, for good or ill, is a star,” said Scrape TV Sports analyst Mark Marvins. “I would bet this goes nowhere for Tebow but it could lead to new rules that will govern the way other players treat religion and the degree to which it is officially sanctioned. Finding evidence though, that will be the tough part. God tends to not leave a whole lot of evidence.”
Neither Tebow or the representatives of the Almighty had any comment on the investigation.
