RANDY MOSS TO VISIT EVERY NFL TEAM BY END OF 2011 SEASON

November 3 2010

Nashville, TN – There has been eccentric personalities in sport pretty much since the beginning of organized leagues. While being a personality is certainly not a requirement of being a professional athlete, the type of confidence and larger-than-life john mcenroe
charisma that drives athletes to professional levels often also manifests itself in other ways. People like Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Wilt Chamberlain, Dennis Rodman, and John McEnroe are all examples of personalities that transcended their sports, while at the same time reaching the heights of athleticism.

The modern sports world is not without its eccentrics. People like Ron Artest, Terrell Owens, and Stephon Marbury have all continued in that tradition and in many ways pushed it to new heights with everything from destroying television cameras to eating toothpaste live on the web, all to the amusement and confusion of sports fans around the world. Some antics however can be a little more destructive, and in the case of Randy Moss, downright detrimental to a career. Moss’ recent press conference breakdown was one example of such antics going wrong and he paid for it by being put on waivers. Now a member of Tennessee Titans, Moss has continued his increasingly eccentric ways and stated privately that he was going to try and be a member of every NFL team by the end of next season.randy moss vikings

“Randy really loves the game and loves the league. He understands that some of his actions make it seem like he has a great deal of disrespect for everyone involved but it’s actually his passion for that game that makes him act out in those ways. He really can’t contain himself a lot of the time,” said a Moss insider. “He really didn’t want to go back to the Vikings partly because he loved playing in New England, but he also wants to experience all the different teams in the league rather than going back to a place that he has already played. Going forward that is going to be his objective and he hopes to get it done by the end of next season.”randy moss raiders

The NFL trade deadline occurs in October, meaning that teams play only six games or so before the cut off which would necessitate Moss being cut multiple times.

“I can certainly understand wanting to play for different teams, to get different experiences. There is a romance attached to playing with one team for an entire career but not only is that irrational in today’s game, it is really nothing but romantic,” said Scrape TV Sports analyst Mark Marvins. “Experience, diverse experience, can be a really compelling thing and I’m sure that is what Moss is thinking. He gets to experience different cities, different cultures, and to be a part of the entire history of the NFL. It’s an interesting idea, though it’s going to be hard to pull off.”

Moss has already played for the aforementioned Vikings, the Raiders, and the Patriots leaving 28 more teams.

“The math really doesn’t make sense and that is going to be an issue. There are only randy moss vikings
sixteen games in the season and half of those have been played this season. Even if he were to play for a different team every game going forward he would still fall short. Basically he’s going to have to work out an arrangement where he is traded in the middle of a game a few times, perhaps to the opposing team which would be challenge,” continued Marvins. “Moss is an extremely talented player and I’m sure many teams would like to have a shot at him but the legal and technical limitations might make it impossible to achieve on such a short timetable. It’s very, very ambitious though I don’t doubt that he has never lacked in ambition.”

Moss apparently does want to visit all the teams in the league including Buffalo, Cleveland, and even Jacksonville.
