TOM BRADY SAYS HE IS THE BEST DECISION THE PATRIOTS HAVE EVER MADE, AND HE’S PROBABLY RIGHT

Boston, MA – The only thing people love more than success is hating the people who have it. Whether it reveling in celebrity divorces or watching politicians have their careers ruined by scandal, people love to see the big people, the successful people, eventually lose. It’s human nature, stretching back to our days in caves, just waiting for that vacancy.
In professional football, in professional sports really, there has been no athlete who has been more disliked than Tom Brady, and by extension the New England Patriots, over the last decade. The success of that team has only been celebrated by the people of Boston and no one else. Like the Dallas Cowboys, the Patriots have become the team everyone loves to hate and, as the main man, so too has Brady.
The thing is, though, Brady is good, really good, and so is the team. Three Super Bowls, 7 Pro Bowl selections, and hosts of other awards don’t lie. Brady is undoubtedly on the of the greatest quarterbacks the sport has ever seen and that has allowed for a very successful team to be built around him. Thing is, Brady knows that and now he’s made it clear to the Patriots owner and just about everyone else in the world that he is the best decision the team has ever made, and he’s probably right.
“I still have the image of Tom Brady coming down the old Foxboro stadium steps with that pizza box under his arm, a skinny beanpole, and when he introduced himself to me and said ‘Hi Mr. Kraft,’ he was about to say who he was, but I said ‘I know who you are, you’re Tom Brady. You’re our sixth round draft choice,” said team owner Robert Kraft. “And he looked me in the eye and said ‘I’m the best decision this organization has ever made.’ It looks like he could be right.” 
The only other competitor for the best decision, which does not have an official award either in the NFL or within the Patriots organization, would be coach Bill Belichick who no one likes but is a really good coach.
In related news, Drew Bledsoe who lost his starting job to Brady which started his decline and eventual retirement will be an honorary captain at Sunday’s championship game, likely fuming the whole time.
“It sounds incredibly arrogant for someone to think that of themselves, especially before he had even played a game for the team, but as it turns out he was probably right. The Patriots would not be the team they are, for good or ill, without Tom Brady. He turned out to be a great investment by the team,” said Scrape TV Sports analyst Mark Marvins. “People hate him but he has made that team what it is today. Remember that the Patriots stunk for years before Brady and even in the Bledsoe days they weren’t great. They did better, to be sure, but they weren’t great which they are now and that is largely because of Brady. People hate it, but he really is great, with all his awards, all his success, his good looks, his model wife, and his smart and talented children. He is pretty spectacular as it turns out.”
Most people polled hate Brady even more now than they did before.
